We’re so grateful to have partnered with West Chester University’s Student Experience Department for last week’s Tenants & Renters’ Rights Workshop 🏡

It was an incredible opportunity to connect with students, share important information about housing rights, and empower renters to feel more confident and informed in their living situations. Partnerships like this make meaningful impact possible, and we truly appreciate the chance to work together in supporting student safety and advocacy.

We are grateful to have had the chance to connect with students and meet representatives from reputable apartment communities who showed genuine care for both our mission and the well-being of the students who call their complexes home. 🔑 Lock doors and windows before leaving�
✨ Use timers for lights instead of leaving them on�
🔥 Unplug appliances and check smoke/CO detectors�
📞 Keep emergency contacts saved and accessible

🏡 Quick Safety Tips Before You Leave:

�🔒 Lock everything — doors, windows, balcony sliders, and even interior bedroom doors if you have them.�
🔥 Unplug appliances — think space heaters, toasters, lamps, and anything that doesn’t need to stay on.�
🚰 Check sinks & appliances — no running faucets, no lingering dishwasher cycles, and empty the trash to avoid unwanted surprises.�
🔥 Test your smoke detector before leaving to make sure it’s working properly.�
⛽ Check for gas safety — ensure your stove k***s are fully turned off and there's no lingering smell of gas.�
🧯 Clear anything flammable from stovetops, counters, or heaters to reduce fire risk.�
📍 Tell a trusted friend or neighbor you’re away so they can keep an eye out for anything unusual.
