Now that our wayward pup has safely returned home (thank you! 🙏) we can enjoy our favorite day of the week: SatAJAY!

And we can't explain it - but this dog IS fall 🍂🍁🍎 You see it too, right? Something about that rustic chestnut coat and amber-glow eyes makes us want all the Pumpkin Spice everything! You could say he puts the Autumn Joy All Year in AJAY! 🎃

Ajay is the cutest, leggy terrier mix with the best beard in town already at 4 months old (perfect for no shave November!) and weighing in at 13 lbs, mostly in his four stilts - we expect an adult size topping off around 35 lbs - or approximately 2-3 face pumpkins.

He loves to be held, and there's lots more wonderful traits to read about him in his bio in the comments!

The pumpkins weren't the only thing ripe for picking today at Tewksbury Harvest Fest! Despite a little drizzle, our festers came out in droves to shower love on our adoptable dogs - and every pup that was ready for a home found one! Thank you to Georgia, all the event volunteers, our team of fosters, and all of the visitors who came out to support us! We are so grateful for the neighborhood events like these that give our adoptable pups such valuable exposure to a loving community! ☔🐶🎃

The moody fall vibes have already arrived at Tewksbury Harvest Fest! A blanket of clouds and slight crisp in the air calls for your coziest, chunkiest sweaters and sweatshirts - something you won't mind getting a little dog hair on! See you at the Fest! 🍁

The 28th annual Tewksbury Harvest Festival is POSTPONED until OCTOBER 4. While forecasters still aren't sure what this weekend's weather will do, we are certain it's not going to be nice. And we want a decent day for one of the area's BEST fall festivals! So mark your calendars and cross your fingers that next Sunday's weather will be better!

Our adoptable pups got rained out of their events this weekend and it shows 💤💤 But it gave us an opportunity to spend some time with them indoors, and get to know their personalities for their online dating (a.k.a Petfinder) profiles!

It's Sat-dood-day! And Jack is here to remind you that ANY dog can end up in rescue. 🇨🇭

Jack is approximately 2-3 years old and 50 pounds - and as he's valiantly working on his "down" commands, we recommend a home with no tiny tots! 👶🏼

Piglet is recovering beautifully from her ear surgery and while they certainly didn't make them any smaller, or straighter, this little girl will be so much more comfortable as she listens for the sound of her new family approaching 🧏🏼‍♀️

Meet our adorable pup, Piglet! This little one appears to have been attacked by a large dog at the hoarder home where she lived before coming to rescue. She has a bit of facial paralysis and a droopy eye due to an injury to her nerve, and lopsided ears which just make her even cuter than she already is! But unfortunately, the one condition she cannot continue to live with comfortably is the damage that was done to her ear canal.

After consultation with a specialist, Piglet is set to undergo a surgery called a Teca-Bo, which stands for Total Ear Canal Ablation and Bulla Osteotomy. The surgery involves the complete removal of the ear canal and the tympanic bulla (middle ear), leaving only the external ear flap (pinna) intact.

We have received a very generous rescue discount, for which we are extremely grateful, but we are still looking at +/- $3000 to help our little girl live a pain free life. She has no neurological deficits and is your typical happy, playful puppy, so she deserves every opportunity we can provide. We’re grateful she landed here with us so we can make sure she gets the care she requires, but these unplanned expenses are tough on a small home-based rescue like ours.

If you want it, baby, you got it - just Buster move!

This low-riding, turned out short king is an RTR alum that was returned to us through zero fault of his own on account of the family getting a new puppy that is not matching Buster's vibe.

So while we search for a new home for Buster where he can be the sole canine commander - we have to make it abundantly clear that Buster absolutely loves his people, including the young children in his family!

Despite being low and wide, Buster can move! He's extremely fast, loves to play chase, and loves to play with toys and balls. He walks well on a no pull harness (a wonderful invention for our nose-led hounds!) and is very food motivated and will sit for a treat. (Again...hounds!) And like most of our hounds, we would prefer a home with a fenced in yard for Buster.

Buster is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $400.
