Lehigh Hawkathon is student run group, out of Lehigh's Office of Student Leadership Development, focused on organizing an annual dance marathon to raise funds for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. CHOP is a member of the Children's Miracle Network (CMN), whose mission is to make medical treatment available for anyone in need, regardless of whether the patient can afford the procedures or not. A

t Lehigh, we have come together to help support CHOP and CMN with its mission. We plan to raise funds in order to donate to CHOP's Child Life department as well as any other stated areas of need. Specially trained staff of the Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy Department at CHOP provide care and support designed to meet the unique needs of children and families as they cope with illness, injury, treatment, hospitalization and the overall healthcare experience. This is done by providing age-appropriate and therapeutic play, art therapy, music therapy, education, pet therapy, and so much more. We strive to unify our Lehigh community along with the family and children in need. We also serve to heighten awareness in our community about CMN and CHOP, and about the needs of these organizations and the families they serve. We are currently in the process of planning our 7th annual 12 hour dance marathon of on November 2nd, 2019. If you'd like to get involved in any way, email us at [email protected]!

PET HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST👻🎃We will be accepting pictures of people’s pets in halloween costumes until Halloween night through our direct messages! On November 1, we will pick the cutest pet photo to win a hawkathon tshirt! In order to submit a photo you also need to venmo $5 to Sarah-Smith-996, 100% of that will go to the Children’s Hospital of Philadephia!! Help us support CHOP during the halloween season🧡👻🎃
