Ride for Your Life

Ride for Your Life Ride for Your Life is a movement that promotes roadway safety by hosting bike rides and walks in honor of those lost to traffic violence.

Our rides end with rallies where we demand changes to laws and infrastructure. Because our roads exist for everyone.

While every year’s Ride for Your Life is important, this year’s event comes at a particularly urgent moment, when the Trump Administration has unleashed an unprecedented attack on bike infrastructure in America.
This year, join us to send a clear message: Bike lanes and other safe infrastructure projects should be seen for what they are: investments in a better future, solutions for dangerous and congested roads.
At Ride for Your Life, we gather not only to mark World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. We gather for change.

Our hearts are broken. Milligan University sophomore cyclists Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers were killed when driver John Benfield, 69, of Newland, North Carolina, struck them and their Milligan teammates yesterday. Seven more were taken to the hospital. Four are in critical condition.

We have failed again. Failed these young athletes, failed their families, failed this community. Yes, there’s an individual responsible for this—absolutely—and there are things we need to learn about this crash. But there is also a transportation system and a culture at work. We should not only have safe drivers. We need safe cars, safe roads, safe speeds, and strong post-crash care. We can do better.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Milligan community.

We’re back—and this year, we’re bringing Ride For Your Life to Madison, Boston, and Washington, DC. Register now at rideforyourlife.org!

We ride to remember. We ride to demand better. Together, we can make change happen. It's a formula that works. In April, we helped pass Maryland’s Stop Super Speeders Act. And in May, key provisions of the bipartisan Sarah Debbink Langenkamp Active Transportation Act passed a committee vote in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Join us to create the future we want to see.

Madison — October 4
Boston — October 25
Washington, DC — November 15

Love this model. And there is a point not mentioned which bears stating: How do you think Erving Haaland and his friends got to these free and open facilities where they spent so much time? I bet they were close enough that many of them could bike, walk or take a bus.

Norway’s Erling Haaland is one of soccer’s most fearsome and competitive stars. He grew up in a place where winning and losing hardly mattered.
