Bethel Area Business Association - BABA

Bethel Area Business Association - BABA Bethel Area Business Association (BABA) was organized to unify and promote the business community in the Bethel area.

The Bethel Area Business Association shall serve its Members as a trade association and, as such, may undertake the following activities (among others):

(a) Foster trades, services, business and responsible development;

(b) Identify and encourage expansion of commercial opportunities;

(c) Develop awareness of career opportunities available to those who live a

nd work within the Bethel region of western Maine including (but not limited to) the communities of Bethel, Newry, Woodstock, Greenwood, Gilead and Hanover, Maine, and surrounding communities in Maine or New Hampshire (the “Bethel area”);

(d) Collaborate with local schools, community colleges and other appropriate educational institutions serving the Bethel Area (that may be located in Maine or New Hampshire) to expand relevant career education programs and promote continuing education opportunities for youth and adults;

(e) Support legislative and regulatory reform conducive to business growth and development;

(f) Support responsible development; and

(g) Support and defend private property rights and oppose the indiscrimminant use of eminent domain.

One last round of HUGE thank yous to everyone who helped make Molly Ockett Day so special for our community! ❤️

We want to give a special shoutout to the Bethel Fire Department for filling the dunk tank, and to all of our amazing volunteers from Telstar Boys Soccer, Telstar Girls Soccer, Telstar Field Hockey, Telstar Boys Basketball, and Telstar Future Business Leaders of America. We couldn’t do it without you!

Thank you to Bethel Rescue, the State of Maine Fire Marshals, Maine State Police, and the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office for helping with parade and traffic control and keeping everyone safe throughout the day.

And of course, thank you to the Bethel Historical Society, Bethel Public Library, and The Bethel Inn for your support and help with our events!

What a day Molly Ockett Day 2026 was! We want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this Bethel tradition so special.

Thank you to the Town of Bethel, Maine; our amazing sponsors; volunteers; vendors; entertainers; parade participants; and everyone who came out to celebrate with us! Your support, time, and community spirit are what make Molly Ockett Day possible year after year.

From the parade and games to the food, music, activities, and fireworks, it was a day full of fun, laughter, and community pride. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen!

BABA is looking for volunteers to help with cleanup tomorrow at 8:30 AM at the Bethel Common!

All are welcome to lend a hand, and we have light-duty options available too!

It should only take a few hours—and the more people who show up, the quicker we can get it done! 💪

It's almost time for one of Bethel's favorite traditions! The countdown is on for Molly Ockett Day, and we can't wait to celebrate with our incredible community THIS SATURDAY! ❤️🤍💙

Bring your family, invite your friends, and spend the day making memories in the heart of Bethel.

Here's what's happening:

🚒 10:30 AM – The Molly Ockett Day Parade kicks off!
🌭 10:30 AM – Food vendors and local vendors open on the Common.
🎶 11:15 AM – Live entertainment begins on the Gazebo and continues throughout the day.
🎨 11:30 AM – Kids' activities get underway with fun for all ages.
🏀 12:30 PM – Competitions and tournaments begin right next to the Common. Come join the fun or cheer on your favorites!
🎆 9:00 PM – End the day with our fireworks display!

Whether you come for the parade, the food, the music, the games, the shopping, or the fireworks, there's something for everyone. We can't wait to see our streets filled with smiling faces and hometown pride. See you Saturday! 🎉

The Basketball 3-Point and Free Throw Competition will now take place right next to the Common. It will be even easier to find and enjoy while you're taking in all the fun happening throughout the day!
