What a night! ❤️🐾

Last night, our DAWS community came together for our Making a Difference Gala, raising critical funds that will directly support the animals who depend on us and keep our lifesaving work going strong.

Here’s just a sneak peek from an unforgettable evening, beautifully captured by our amazing photographers, Eight Six Photography and Sarah Farrell, with much more to come!

To our generous sponsors, donors, volunteers, Board members, staff, and everyone who attended, donated, bid, raised a paddle, purchased a raffle ticket, or helped make this evening possible: THANK YOU. This night belonged to all of you.

A special thank you to the incredible team at the The Ethan Allen Hotel for helping us create such a memorable evening.

Our hearts are full, our tails are wagging, and we can’t wait to share more! 🐾❤️

As we count down the final days to our 2026 Making a Difference Gala, we are proud to recognize four more incredible sponsors: Agriventures Agway, BMW of Ridgefield, Caraluzzi's and IDEXX!

Their generous support helps bring this special evening to life while strengthening DAWS’ ability to provide lifesaving care, comfort and second chances to animals in need.

We are so happy to have these wonderful businesses standing behind our mission. Thank you for investing in DAWS, our animals and the compassionate community that makes our work possible! 💙🐾

❤️🐾 THE BOX KITTIES ARE READY FOR THEIR HAPPILY FUREVER AFTER! 🐾❤️

Just over a week ago, these cats arrived at DAWS under heartbreaking circumstances, discovered crying inside a box that had been taped shut and abandoned near Old Hawleyville Road and Route 302.

Today, we get to share the update we’ve all been waiting for!

Meet Stuie, F**a, Vira and Kaladin! 🐱🐱🐱🐱

After lots of love, medical attention and TLC from our team, these four sweet kitties are officially ready to put their past behind them and find the loving forever homes they deserve.

And there’s already been one VERY happy ending: Purrsephone has been adopted! 🥹🏡❤️

The response from our community when we first shared their story was incredible. You donated. You shared. You sent words of encouragement. You reminded us just how many people are standing behind the animals who need us most.

Now, there’s one more way you can help: ADOPT!

Each of these cats has their own personality, and they’re ready to begin a brand-new chapter. Visit daws.org/cats/ to view the individual bios for Stuie, F**a, Vira and Kaladin and see who might be the perfect addition to your family 🥰
