🌱 I CARE Cleanup Tip: Protect Our Waterways🌱

Litter doesn't just stay on the ground; it often washes into storm drains and nearby streams, polluting local waterways and harming wildlife. Properly disposing of trash helps protect our environment and keeps our community healthy and beautiful.

Join the I CARE movement by adopting a mile, block, or spot. Invite others to get involved and help us protect the places we all call home!

🌱 I CARE Cleanup Tip: Keep Litter Out of Your Vehicle🌱

Many roadside litter problems begin with unsecured trash inside vehicles. Keep a small trash bag or container in your car so wrappers, receipts, and drink containers stay contained until you can dispose of them properly.

Every small action counts. Join the I CARE movement by adopting a mile, block, or spot and inspire others to take pride in our community!

🌱 I CARE Cleanup Tip: Start With Your Front Door!🌱

Keeping the area around your home or business clean creates a welcoming environment and helps prevent litter from spreading to neighboring properties. A few minutes of sweeping sidewalks, removing debris, and picking up litter can make a noticeable difference.

Help create a ripple effect throughout the community! Adopt a mile, block, or spot and encourage others to join the I CARE – Do Not Litter Initiative. Together, we can keep our community clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone!

🌱 I CARE Cleanup Tip: Secure Your Trash🌱

Loose trash can quickly become litter, especially on windy days or during garbage collection! Make sure trash bags are tied securely and garbage can lids are closed to help keep waste where it belongs and prevent it from ending up on our streets and in our neighborhoods.

Help us by doing your part to keep our communities clean; adopt a mile, block, or spot and encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to join the I CARE – Do Not Litter Initiative.

Together, we can make a lasting difference!

🚔 Community Engagement | Camp Bessemer 🐾

Good afternoon, Bessemer!

The Bessemer Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit would like to extend our sincere thanks to Camp Bessemer for welcoming us today. We had a wonderful time speaking with the campers about crime prevention, personal safety, and the importance of preventing bullying.

A special guest also joined us—McGruff the Crime Dog! 🐶 McGruff helped make today’s presentation interactive, fun, and memorable while sharing important safety messages with our young campers.

Thank you again for your warm hospitality. We hope each camper walked away with valuable lessons about making safe choices, showing kindness to others, and helping create a stronger, safer community.

We look forward to seeing everyone again soon. Stay safe, be kind, and remember—together, we can help take a bite out of crime! 🐶🚔💙
