There’s been some confusion, so let’s set the record straight: CEDA’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is still available and accepting applications.

We are still here to help eligible Cook County residents apply for assistance with their energy bills. The program is expected to run through August 15, 2025, or until funds are exhausted.

Thank you St. Lucy’s & Housing Forward for providing temporary overnight emergency shelter in our area!

With temperatures dropping, it's important to ensure everyone has access to warmth and safety. St. Catherine-St. Lucy will be operating an emergency overnight warming center through Saturday January 11th. The Housing Forward Support Center, Berwyn Public Library, the Proviso Township Center, and all branches of the Oak Park Public Library are open as local day time warming centers for anyone in need.

🚨🚨Berwyn is LOSING trees. We lost 1 out of 6 trees between 2014 and 2022. "Overall, there is room for over 10,000 trees to be added to public spaces in Berwyn!"

Sign the petition urging the City to get rid of the current requirement for homeowners to "request" a tree and have the City proactively plant trees in public spaces. Follow Berwyn Tree Canopy Initiative for more info.
