(No the rescue is not open, but I felt the need to share this!)

Bloomsburg, PA town council, in Columbia County PA has signed a contract to KILL the geese that have called the 40 acre town park (located ON THE RIVER) home for decades. The only other remedy they’ve tried is sound aversion, and now plan to kill all of them, in June-July. Please READ, SHARE, and sign this petition. It includes valid, verified remedies of maintaining or decreasing populations, without this terrible act of cruelty. What’s even worse? They plan to do this when they are molting feathers (greatly hampering any attempt to escape), AND during the season they will be laying on their eggs.

This is 2022. We NEED to do better.

Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes. This has been a tumultuous few weeks. Those who do not know, my husband and I have 5 children together, 4 of them minors. Today we met with a lawyer reached an agreement to split custody 50/50. That is the good news.

I NEED YOUR HELP.

I cannot move out of Berwick Area School District - not even a mile beyond. I am in DIRE NEED of finding a place within Berwick Borough, Salem Township, Briar Creek Township, and Nescopeck Township - to rent. My goal to be able to take 4 dogs with me, 3 chihuahuas and a golden retriever is not planning out. This week alone I have had to part with 6 personal dogs...if I must...I will have to choose 2 more to leave me...leaving me with my Phoebe and Delilah (golden).

Yes 6. The thing I did for so long - rescuing displaced homeless dogs - I am now doing the opposite to my own. The sheer grief involved with each individual loss, and CHOOSING has been heart wrenching. I have done more crying in the last week than most of my life. It’s not going to stop any time soon.

I need 2 bedrooms minimum with 3 preferred. If you know ANYONE in the above areas of PA...PLEASE share this story. I’m starting over with nothing - please help me to keep the few pets I simply can’t bear to part with. Please leave some of my heart intact.

A huge thank you to both Animal Resource Center and Zoe's House for helping me in my time of need and to Sylva Penkov of Believe in Buster Animal Rescue & Sanctuary for referring me to Vicki. At least I can rest knowing those I have parted with are in good hands. As always, my dad was there for me too...thank you Danny Searfoss for taking our beloved Grizzly so he’s still a part of the family. Without you all I may have melted down to nothing. WITH you, I will start rebuilding a new life...

Desperately searching for a rental...3+ bedrooms. Berwick & surrounding area. Those who know me know Paws Crossroads, founded in 2008 has saved more than 1300 animals. I am now in a situation that I am having to part with many of mine...I have 3 small dogs (under 15 lb, 2 of which are seniors) and a golden retriever I can’t bear to give up. I’d like to keep a cat or 2 as well but I know this may be too much to ask. My husband and I are going through a separation and I need to find a place to live. I could use any ideas, prayers, and referrals. I can be reached via text/phone at 570-231-9927. Thank you in advance...

We didn't know how long she'd be with us when we took her 2 years ago...she beat most odds...but today my sweet Lil Old Lady told me it was time... 💔😢
We say goodbye in just an hour....your prayers for a peaceful passing to the Rainbow Bridge...😭

To our faithful followers...thank you for being a part of this journey. Since 2008 we have rescued over 1300 dogs and cats from shelters and off the streets.

Due to personal circumstances, we have ceased intake for the foreseeable future. It will be determined in the next few months whether we will remain an active rescue or not. Most of our adoptable dogs have already been transferred to another local rescue (will publish details later).
