Welcome to September at the Sandoval County Historical Society and Museum! For our inaugural fall Free Sunday event, award-winning artist Teresa M. Hernandez will delight us with her knowledge and passion in the art of Colcha Embroidery. As a bonus, Teresa will be conducting a workshop on September 30th at the Corrales Community Library, and registration is open now for that event.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on September 13, and we thank you for your continued support so we may continue to bring these wonderful speakers to our community.

What a wonderful and aesthetically beautiful event we hosted yesterday to celebrate the finale of our Spring 2026 lineup of Free Sunday Programs! We are grateful to Luis E. Barela, who showed us how he brings to life his multi-textured wood carvings of religious figures in the tradition of the legendary Taos Woodcarvers.
