Help us find these little ones good homes!

We have a community member caring for 5 orphaned kittens (about 2.5 weeks old) who needs help next Wednesday & Thursday while theyโ€™re out of town ๐Ÿ’›

These babies are bottle-fed and doing well, but they need someone experienced who can continue their care for a couple of days. Supplies (milk replacer, etc.) will be provided.

Weโ€™re also looking for a nursing mama cat who may be able to take them in temporarily.

If you can help, or know someone who can, please message us. Sharing this post helps us reach the right person.

We are so thankful for this incredible delivery of cat food for our colony caregivers ๐Ÿ’›

These donations directly support the people caring for feral and stray cats in our community every single day.

Supporting the Cats Already Here A big part of our mission is caring for the cats who are already part of our community. In April, we helped multiple outdoor cats by having them shaved to prevent painful matting. Something that can quickly become a serious welfare issue if left untreated. We also

Floyd is so lucky to have such an amazing caring team!

Not all heroes wear capesโ€ฆ some have paws. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿพ

Floyd earned his Purple Paw Certificate of Bravery after his eyelid surgery and throughout his continued care with us. He showed incredible strength every step of the wayโ€”from procedure day to recoveryโ€”and handled it all like a true champ.

Patients like Floyd are exactly why we do what we do. Weโ€™re committed to more than just treatmentโ€”weโ€™re here for every step of the journey, providing compassionate, personalized careโ€”thatโ€™s the level of care you can expect at Bern-Sabetha Veterinary Clinic.

Way to go, Floyd! Weโ€™re so proud of you. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฑ

Floyd needs our help again ๐Ÿ’”

We recently shared that Floydโ€™s eye was healing after his last procedure, but over the past few days heโ€™s continued to squint and show signs of discomfort. At his follow-up visit, the vet found a new ulcer on his eye, caused by his eyelid turning inward and rubbing against the surface (a condition called entropion).

Because of this, Floyd is going in for surgery today to revise his right eye and relieve the pain heโ€™s been dealing with.

Heโ€™s been such a trooper through all of this, but the additional procedure does come with unexpected costs. If youโ€™re able to donate toward Floydโ€™s care, it would mean so much to us and help ensure he gets the treatment he needs to heal comfortably.

Every little bit helps, and sharing his story makes a difference too

Floyd Update ๐Ÿพ

We wanted to share an update on Floyd, one of the community cats from a colony in Sabetha.

Floyd underwent eye surgery in October, 2025, to treat painful ulcers. He did need a follow-up vet visit today, but weโ€™re happy to share that he is now on medication and receiving the care he needs.

Heโ€™s being closely monitored and is resting comfortably while he heals. Weโ€™re so grateful heโ€™s getting the treatment he deservesโ€”community cats like Floyd rely on all of us to step in when they need help.

Thank you for your continued support ๐Ÿค

๐Ÿพ Six New Little Lives ๐Ÿพ

These six sweet kittens made their arrival safely and are being lovingly cared for indoors after their mama chose a kind home to have them. ๐Ÿ’›

Theyโ€™re still very young, but weโ€™re starting to look ahead for forever homes when theyโ€™re ready in the coming weeks.

โœจ Update: The orange kitten already has a home lined up!
๐Ÿฑ The remaining kittens will be available once they are old enough and fully weaned.

If youโ€™ve been thinking about adding a kitten to your family, this is a wonderful opportunity to give one of these babies a loving home.

Please keep in mind:

Kittens will be ready around 8โ€“12 weeks of age

Weโ€™ll help guide next steps to ensure they are healthy and ready for adoption

๐Ÿ’Œ Send us a DM if youโ€™re interested or would like to be considered!

Thank you for helping us give these little ones the future they deserve. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’•

Weโ€™ve been a little quiet latelyโ€”but busy in the best way ๐Ÿ’›

In 2026, weโ€™ve been focusing on supporting colony caregivers in our community by:
๐Ÿพ Setting up auto-delivery food support
๐Ÿพ Lending traps for TNR efforts

This behind-the-scenes work is key to reducing the stray population and supporting the people already caring for these cats every day.

Thank you for being part of it ๐Ÿพ
