Did you know one female cat can have up to 3 litters a year, with 4–6 kittens per litter? That’s potentially 18 kittens from just one cat in 12 months — making spaying and neutering an important part of helping manage outdoor cat populations.

To help our community, we’re hosting a 𝐓𝐍𝐑 (𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐩-𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧) for outdoor farm and feral cats! ❤️

Homeward Bound is excited to participate again this year. Give to Grow is one of our most important fundraisers and helps us continue providing spay/neuter services, medical care, food assistance, and support for local cats and their caregivers.

This November, Homeward Bound is excited to once again participate in Sabetha Give to Grow , an annual giving event that brings our community together to support local nonprofit organizations.

🐾 Working Cat Home Needed 🐾

We're looking for a safe, permanent working home for this beautiful mama cat and her four kittens.

Mama has lived as a stray her entire life but has recently begun warming up to the wonderful community member who has been caring for her. We're still learning how social she may become, but she is doing well and deserves a safe place to call home.

If you're looking for a cat to help keep rodents under control in a barn, shop, garage, warehouse, or other safe outdoor setting, we'd love to hear from you! Please send Homeward Bound a direct message.

Homeward Bound will cover the cost of spaying mama and all four kittens when they are old enough.

Our working cats are not "free outdoor cats." They still depend on their caregivers for:
🐱 Fresh food and clean water every day
🐱 Safe shelter from the weather
🐱 Veterinary care if injured or ill
🐱 A secure location where they will be cared for long-term

Working cats cannot be placed on abandoned or vacant properties or simply left to fend for themselves. They are wonderful mousers, but they still deserve kindness, safety, and a committed caregiver.

**Foster Home Needed**

This sweet young kitten showed up during the recent storms and is looking for a safe place to land.

It is very friendly, loves attention, and wants to be around people. Unfortunately, the dogs at her current location are not welcoming, and it has been spending much of her time hiding in trees to stay safe.

Homeward Bound is looking for a foster home where it can relax, gain some weight, and receive the care it deserves. Homeward Bound will cover her veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay surgery when it is old enough.

🐾 Meet Misty 🐾

All of Misty's siblings have found their forever homes, and now it's her turn!

Misty is a beautiful, fluffy girl currently in foster care through Homeward Bound. She loves to play, especially with strings and toys, and her curious personality keeps her busy exploring everything around her. While she's not much of a lap kitten, she's full of charm and would make a wonderful companion.

✅ Great eater
✅ Playful and inquisitive

As an added benefit, Homeward Bound will cover the cost of Misty's spay surgery when she is old enough.

🚨 URGENT: Surrogate Mama Cat Needed 🚨

We were contacted about a young mama cat in Sabetha with 6 kittens around 4 weeks old. Mama is struggling to keep up, and the kittens are needing extra support. We are hoping to find a nursing mama cat who may be able to help take in some of these babies.

If you know of a cat currently nursing kittens who may accept additional babies, please message Homeward Bound as soon as possible.

We have a community member caring for 5 orphaned kittens (about 2.5 weeks old) who needs help next Wednesday & Thursday while they’re out of town 💛

These babies are bottle-fed and doing well, but they need someone experienced who can continue their care for a couple of days. Supplies (milk replacer, etc.) will be provided.

We’re also looking for a nursing mama cat who may be able to take them in temporarily.
