πŸ’š A Special Thank You to the Heart of the Community Fridge πŸ’š

This week's thank you post is a little different.

While we are always grateful for every donation, every meal, and every act of kindness, today we'd like to recognize the incredible background volunteers who help keep the Berlin Community Fridge running week after week.

And a heartfelt thank you to:

✨ Ashley Demers
✨ Jamie Higgins
✨ Kirstan Knowlton
✨ Magen Moreau
✨️ Stacey Gallant
✨ Kelly Croteau
✨ Shelly Beaudette
✨ Brandi Soden
✨ Robbi Lyn
✨ Sarah Harney

These amazing individuals do far more than most people see. They cook meals, stock shelves, clean and check the fridge, monitor dates, answer messages, organize donations, coordinate volunteers, deliver food, and spend countless hours making sure this resource is available to anyone who needs it.

Many of them have been doing this consistently for months, pouring their hearts into helping complete strangers. They rarely ask for recognition, but they absolutely deserve it.

I'd also like to thank everyone who has helped behind the scenes. It is the result of a dedicated team of volunteers who care deeply about our community and show up day after day to make sure nobody goes hungry.

πŸ’š Thank you for your time. πŸ’š Thank you for your compassion. πŸ’š Thank you for your dedication. πŸ’š Thank you for being the heart of this community effort.

If you've ever received a meal, grabbed groceries, donated food, or simply supported the fridge, please help us show these volunteers some love in the comments. They are the reason this project continues to thrive.

Neighbors helping neighbors, that's what community is all about. πŸ’šπŸ‘πŸ½οΈ

‼️ weekly thank you post- photos are of past donations and not representative of current inventory 🚨
This Memorial Day, we’re especially thankful for the people who continue showing up for this community in quiet, meaningful ways. While many of us spend the day with family, remembering loved ones, or enjoying a long weekend, there are still neighbors relying on the fridge for a meal, pantry staples, or a little extra help getting through the week.

That’s why every donation matters. Every volunteer hour matters. Every person who takes time out of their own busy life to help stock the fridge is helping make sure food is there when someone needs it.

This week, our community came through again. Our thanks go out to all those who donated, cleaned up, and helped including:
⭐️ Gold House of Pizza Berlin, NH for pizza and containers. Thank you for the continued support!
⭐️ Robbi Lyn and Lynn Blais for being such a resource in donating, delivering, and packing up food.
⭐️ Shelly Beaudette for turning donated meat into meals for the community
⭐️ Caitlyn Roy for her generous donations to helping keep her neighbors fed.
⭐️ Berlin High Key Club for the lovely breakfast donations of eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes.
⭐️ Angela Lambert for donating the meat our volunteers turned into meals πŸ’—

Thank you to everyone who donated, cooked, dropped things off, shared posts, checked the fridge, or helped spread the word. The support behind this project continues to come from ordinary people doing what they can, when they can, and it makes a real difference.

Wishing everyone a safe Memorial Day weekend, and taking a moment to remember those who served and those no longer with us.

πŸŽ“πŸ’š Graduation Season Reminder from the Community Fridge πŸ’šπŸŽ“

With graduation parties and celebrations coming up over the next few weeks, we wanted to put out a gentle reminder that the community fridge is always happy to receive a little extra love for our shelves πŸ’š

If you find yourself with an abundance of leftover food, trays, snacks, drinks, or prepared meals after your gatherings, please consider donating them to help local families and neighbors in need.

We also have containers available. If anyone needs them for packaging meals, just reach out to us!

Thank you for continuing to help make this a caring, community-driven, judgment-free space where neighbors help neighbors. Every donation makes a difference. πŸ’š

πŸ’š Community Fridge Update πŸ’š

Right now, our fridge and shelves are empty, and we would truly appreciate any donations the community is able to give.

We would be grateful for any donations, but below are a few popular ideas:

✨ Pantry items
✨ Snacks and drinks
✨ Easy grab-and-go foods
✨ Homemade or prepared meals
✨ Hygiene items

Every little bit helps, and even a small donation can make a big difference for someone in need.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this space with kindness, generosity, and community care. πŸ’š

πŸ’š Community Fridge Thank You Post πŸ’š

We just wanted to take a moment to thank the amazing people who continue to show up for our community fridge again and again.

✨ Thank you to T&C and Kelly Tupick for the Mother’s Day dinners
✨ Thank you to T&C for the breakfast meals
✨ Thank you to Gorham Gold House of Pizza Berlin, NH who had an accidental order from the wrong state and so generously chose to donate it to the fridge πŸ’š
✨ And thank you to every single person who cooks, drops off meals, donates supplies, and helps keep this fridge going.

Because of this community, so many people are able to grab a meal when they need one most. We appreciate every act of kindness, big or small.

We also want to gently remind everyone that photos posted to the page are not in real time. The fridge can fill up and empty very quickly depending on community need, donations, and timing of drop-offs.

Thank you all for continuing to make this a kind, caring, judgment-free space for our community. πŸ’š

β˜€οΈ Happy Mother’s Day πŸ’

We want to send an extra big thank you today to all the moms in our community. So many of the people helping keep the fridge going every week are busy moms already taking care of families, jobs, school schedules, sports, and everything else life throws at them, and they still make time to help take care of their neighbors too.

Whether it’s cooking meals, dropping off donations, cleaning, stocking, or just checking in on the fridge, that care and effort matters more than we can say. This whole project only works because people keep showing up for each other in small everyday ways.

Thank you to everyone who helped out this week and to everyone who continues supporting the fridge however they can.

And if your Mother’s Day celebrations leave you with extra food, desserts, drinks, or unopened pantry items, feel free to bring them by the fridge on Gilbert St next to the Parks Department garage πŸ’š

πŸ’š Weekly Community Fridge Thank You πŸ’š

We are so grateful for the continued generosity that keeps our community fridge going strong. Because of all of you, there were meals ready and waiting for those who needed them πŸ’š

A big thank you this week to:

✨ Gold House for the 4 pizzas and pineapple juice
✨ Sarah Harney for her sandwiches and soups

✨ Katelyn Brouillette for the 14 baked zitis delivered this morning

Your kindness, time, and donations truly make a difference in our community.

And as always, thank you to everyone who contributes in ways big and small, whether it’s cooking, donating, or supporting behind the scenes. This fridge is powered by all of you. πŸ’š

EDIT: MILKS ARE GONE!! Thank you everyone and we hope they are enjoyed!!

πŸ₯›Milk Alert! πŸ₯›
We currently have a large amount of small milks in the community fridge that need to be picked up ASAP...they expire tomorrow!

πŸ’› Another incredible act of kindness πŸ’›

We want to give a big shoutout to Beckett for taking part in the $20 Kindness Challenge and choosing to give back to our community fridge! πŸ‘

With his $20 (and a little extra help) Beckett helped create 12 delicious meals of pulled pork, homemade mac & cheese, and even chocolate chip cookies. πŸͺπŸ₯˜ Not only that, but he shared the extra cookies with his classmates to brighten their day. How amazing is that?!

This is exactly what community is all about: kindness, generosity, and thinking of others. πŸ’«

Beckett, you have a heart of gold, and we are so grateful for you and your family for supporting the fridge and our community. πŸ’š

πŸ’›Kindness in action πŸ’›

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Abel High, who took part in the $20 Kindness Challenge and absolutely blew us away.
With just $20, Abel turned it into 47 meals for our community fridge. πŸ₯ΉπŸ‘ From shopping, to cooking, to packaging, he put his whole heart into making sure others had something to eat.
This is what it’s all about. One small act of kindness creating a ripple effect that reaches so many. πŸ’«
Abel, you should be so proud of yourself. You made a real difference, and our community is better because of you.
Thank you for showing us all what a giving heart looks like. πŸ’š
