Grassroots Berlin's 2nd Annual Earth Day Cleanup was today! 🌎

From 9:30–11:30 AM, volunteers worked along Atkins Street near Pistol Creek and hauled out 8 tires, fifteen 30-gal garbage bags of trash, hubcaps, and more beer cans, bottles, and nips than we could count.

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up and got their hands dirty. This is what community looks like. 💚

🌸 Join us at Art Studio of Connecticut in Berlin on Friday May 15th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM for a calming and creative art therapy experience that focuses on community connection and healing through the power of self-expression.

🎨 Chrissy will guide the evening by using the "Community Garden" directive -- an invitation to paint a flower, plant, or tree that will become a part of a larger community mural. The finished mural will be displayed at Berlin's Community Center throughout the month of May serving as a living celebration of connection and healing.*

🧠 All proceeds will be donated directly to NAMI, the local National Alliance of Mental Illness chapter that provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives. Additionally, a NAMI rep will be present at the event to provide additional information and/or answer any questions.

🫟 Whether you're a seasoned artist or have never picked up a brush, this evening is for you!

🌍 Help protect Mother Earth!

This Earth Day, join Grassroots Berlin for a community cleanup at Pistol Creek on Saturday April 18th from 9:30 - 11:30 AM

We will be working together to remove litter that is commonly and frequently discarded by cars passing by on Atkins Street

🧤 Gloves, grabbers and bags will be provided!

🚗 Please meet at the open space off Spruce Brook Rd

As Women's History Month comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the lifechanging work that .crandall.center does for women, men, and children in our community. Because of their efforts, people impacted by domestic violence are given the opportunity to find safety and to reclaim their lives.

This March, we felt compelled to help PCC's mission and were able to raise $1,000 via Blind Date with a Book: Her Story, which was held earlier this month.

We wouldn't have been able to do this without the amazing support of friends, family, the Berlin community, and .

BERLIN, CT — March 16, 2026 — Grassroots Berlin is proud to support BHS's Team Redcoats – Blood Cancer United! with a $200 donation toward their blood cancer research fundraiser - and we need your help to finish what they started!

Chloe, Sydelle, and Livia have worked incredibly hard to reach their $20,000 goal, and they are JUST $150 away! That's it. One generous push from the community could put them over the top - but the clock is ticking. Their deadline is this Thursday, March 19.
