“Hello, my name is McKenzie Grace Noel Dalgleish. I am 5 months old and was born on Christmas Day 2025. I arrived a month early, but happy, healthy, and ready to take on the world. I was born without my left hand, and I’m excited to meet and connect with more amazing people just like me.
I am already surrounded by so much love from my family and friends, and every day they remind me that I can do anything I set my mind to. 💕”

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
As we gather with loved ones and enjoy the holiday weekend, we are grateful for the freedoms we share and the sacrifices that made them possible. 🇺🇸

My girl is home after her first year at college. (She made the Dean’s List- yep I’m bragging)
She has been applying for summer jobs. Today she had an interview at a great and popular coffee shop in the area.
Over 150 people applied and the manager only picked 5 to interview.
He said he was only looking at barista and bar experience (which she has)

He asked about her hand. (Full hand on the left, just a smaller thumb on the right).

He said he didn’t want her to get hurt or be upset with rude people- he didn’t question her ability.

She was hired immediately and already worked three hours on the spot.

“ I’m from the UK - my son wasn’t born with thumb bones - so he has pieces of tissue (floppy thumbs) until his surgery where they convert his index fingers into thumbs - I wondered if you seen anyone else with this? This is on both sides of his hand.
He has a condition called VACTERL - his throat didn’t connect to his stomach he had surgery at 2 days old - it’s unfortunate I believe it occurs somewhat 1 in 40,000 babies.
He also has extra brain fluid which is what our initial struggle was in my gender scan but thankfully it stabilised throughout my whole pregnancy and afterwards 🫶🏻

“During my anatomy scan we went through the worst imaginable fear of what could be wrong with our son due to “an unknown digit missing on his left hand”, so I went through an amniocentesis which only provided more questions than answers. Needless to say the second half of my pregnancy was nothing but anxiety but now my son, Colson, is here and he is a happy healthy baby with a special “fin.” We have called it that since he was born and you can see the missing digit but he is the best thing that’s happened to our world and is doing everything amazingly.”- Naley
