Dear followers, happy new year! We hope you had a wonderful winter break. Our decal class on contemporary Chinese politics and society is running a second iteration in the upcoming semester. The class is titled Global Studies 198 “Contemporary China: A History and Many Stories” and is sponsored by Professor Andrew Jones, Chair of East Asian Language and Culture. It is a 2-units class and meets on Tuesdays 6:30PM-8:00PM online. Participants feedback from the last iteration had been very positive. Hi all, Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful winter break. Our society is opening up a decal focusing on contemporary Chinese politics and society in the upcoming semester. The class is titled Global Studies 198 “Contemporary China: A History and Many Stories” and is sponsored by Professor Andrew Jones, Chair of East Asian Language and Culture. Class is 1-unit and meets on Thursdays 6:30PM-8:00PM. Our class features an interdisciplinary perspective, a careful selection of materials with a sophisticated, reflective and historically-informed style of understanding, and an open discussion environment surrounding several important controversial issues.
