Surgeon Update. I saw the doctor this morning. He went over the hand therapy report. He was pleased to see a little better movement in the wrist and small improvements in the ability to bend the fingers at the second knuckles. Thumb has improved a minute amount.

However, the first knuckles need to be worked on. There was a 3% improvement with them (0-100 score - I started at 0). My mitt brace, that I wear overnight, needs to be bent down more to force the knuckles. That will be done tomorrow or Friday. I just got the other finger extension brace adjusted for more pull. That one gets worn 10-20 min 3x a day. I am to continue going to hand therapy 3x a week for at least another 5-6 months (or more). This is a 3 hr drive round trip.

I see the doctor again in mid-August to see if the first knuckle bend has improved. If it has plateaued, then I will probably need to go back in for a manipulation surgery.
