DonorsChoose is such a great way to support our teachers, and Harriette's Dream is honored to be a regular donor. Some of the projects we support are creative, others help children with skills they need for a lifetime, and some are downright heart-breaking. Teachers often spend money out of their own pockets for basics such as cleaning supplies or food and clothing for children who can't get these necessities at home. We wish we could fund every single project in Arkansas, but we do what we can. One of the fun aspects of supporting projects is the thank you notes from the children that often follow. The one below is from a kindergartner. Glad we could help out, Liam!

With school getting ready to start, it is worth thinking about everything that our teachers do for us, our children, and the community. Especially for brand new teachers, getting what they need for their classroom often means paying for it themselves. DonorsChoose is a great resource where you can find teachers in need and donate to their projects. We did this at Harriette's Dream today, donating to 14 projects. The projects included buying boxes of Kleenex for a classroom; helping kids from 1st - 12th grade develop financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and creativity skills; helping mid-schoolers learn to prepare nutritious meals; and helping kids get hands-on experience with STEM and media arts projects. You, too, can help. You choose the project and the amount you can donate. No donation is too small! Let's give our teachers the support they deserve! The teachers we supported today all are in low income Arkansas schools and are submitting their first DonorsChoose project for support.

Samaritan Community Center is awesome! I drove by last week, and the garden is enormous now! It must be such a blessing for your clients to have access to fresh produce that has been grown with such love. I'll be seeing you in a couple of weeks to talk about how Harriette's Dream can best support your work.

Most of the fresh produce you’ll find in our Markets started just a few hundred feet away on the Samaritan Farm. 🌱 From tomatoes and squash to peppers, cucumbers, and more, that harvest also makes its way into the meals served daily in our Cafés. It’s one more way we’re able to provide fresh, healthy food to our neighbors.

Over the past three days, that homegrown harvest helped support:

🥕 2,175 free Café meals served
🛒 1,461 neighbors received groceries
💙 332 families were served through our Markets
🤝 9 families visited us for the first time
📍 5 families were new to Northwest Arkansas

Every seed planted, every vegetable harvested, and every volunteer who lends a hand helps turn fresh food into hope for our community. Thank you for making it possible.

Harriette's Dream is looking forward to all the great things Paws Forward Foundation is going to be doing for the veterans and first responders who give so much to us on a daily basis!

We are feeling incredibly blessed and profoundly moved today. 💙

​Recently, we have received some amazing inquiries from potential applicants. Reading through these stories is a powerful reminder of exactly why we do what we do. Every application represents a life that can be transformed through the bond, task work, and sheer dedication of a purpose-bred service dog.

​Our mission goes beyond just training; we are building a true support community. From physical and mobility assistance to psychiatric support and medical alerts, our dogs are trained to perform life-changing tasks. More than that, we are fiercely dedicated to supporting veterans, advocating for women's mental health, and raising crucial awareness and support for survivors of MST (Military Sexual Trauma) and sexual assault.

​The need is immense, and we are beyond excited to step up—but we cannot do it alone. To meet the highest standards of public access and task training, it takes a village.

Great opportunity for those who can make it!

⭐️APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 2026 OPERATION BRANDED MUSTANG PROGRAM 🇺🇸
🐴Join us for our EXCLUSIVE MUSTANG PROGRAM, Operation Branded! This program is an immersive 8-week program in which participants are paired with a wild mustang of their choosing and guided through the gentling process. The process forms a connection like any other and is an experience of a lifetime. Veterans and First Responders will have priority registration, but the general public will be considered if there are remaining opportunities. This program is offered free of charge, and no equine experience is required. There is an option to adopt the mustang following the program, but it is not a requirement.
The program will be offered for the last session of 2026 in an 8-week timeline (Sept-October) with only 10 participants in each program. During the program, participants must attend at least 3 training sessions per week (offered most mornings, evenings & Saturday mornings in 4-hour blocks) to be able to qualify for participation. Exact dates will be announced as soon as wild horse transportation is confirmed. The program is located in Harrison, Arkansas, and will not be offered virtually. We do not have on-site lodging available yet, but we do work with local campgrounds for discounted accommodations. We are proud to be supporters of this wonderful program. We first encountered Branded Equine Based Therapy Services when we were going through a very painful time closing the doors on Horses for Healing. Lindsey came to see if some of our assets could be useful at Branded. We hit it off from the beginning. She gave us a tour of Branded and we were so impressed! It is great to see how far they have come! Horses for Healing may be closed, but the legacy lives on through Harriette’s Dream and organizations like Branded Equine Based Therapy Services. 🎓 Congratulations to our 2026 Project SEARCH graduates! 🎓

In May, we celebrated the accomplishments of nine interns at Arkansas Children’s Hospital as they completed the Project SEARCH program.

Through our longstanding partnership with Project SEARCH Arkansas: ACCESS Initiative and AR Rehabilitation Services, 92% of our interns have found and maintained employment after graduation. Over the past 11 years, 107 Project SEARCH interns have graduated from programs across the Arkansas Children’s system.

A special thank you to the mentors, team members and leaders who support our interns throughout this transformative nine-month journey. Your guidance helps create meaningful opportunities for success.
