Come join Ra-Ve for our House Concert: Sangam (The Confluence), a free evening of Indian Classical Music at The Momentary's RØDE House Stage on August 23, 2026.

Presented by Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation, Sangam brings together the two great traditions of Indian classical music. Hindustani from Northern India and Carnatic from Southern India in a thoughtfully curated program that explores their unique voices while celebrating their shared roots.

The evening begins with a Hindustani ensemble performance, featuring Sohan Sadhu on flute, Rajesh Shreedhar Bhat on tabla, and Ruthu Hegde on vocals. Rooted in improvisation and expressive musical dialogue, the Hindustani tradition reflects centuries of artistic exchange across North India, Persia, and Central Asia.

The program then transitions into the Carnatic tradition of South India, known for its rich compositions, rhythmic complexity, and structured musical forms. This segment features Vidya Ramachandhiramani on veena, accompanied by her daughter Aksharaa Luxman on vocals in a special mother-daughter performance.

The evening concludes with a captivating Carnatic vocal performance by Dr. Priya Ram, whose voice highlights the depth, precision, and emotional beauty of South India's classical tradition.

Whether you are a lifelong listener or discovering Indian classical music for the first time, Sangam offers a rare opportunity to experience these traditions side by side in an intimate concert setting.

Rooted in the heartland and open to all, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art has always united art, architecture, and nature. On June 6 & 7, the museum welcomed visitors into its newly expanded spaces, opening 114,000 square feet of galleries, studios, gathering areas, and outdoor experiences. The expansion offers new ways to encounter art, explore ideas, and spend time with family and friends.

Visitors explored the massive new contemporary gallery, a second expanded temporary exhibition gallery, and dynamic studio spaces packed with hands-on creative opportunities. Outside, guests enjoyed the elevated café, a family-friendly splashpad, and beautiful new outdoor art installations.
Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation was pleased to be part of the opening festivities as visitors were treated to beautiful live music by Sohan Sadhu on the flute and Sanjit on the violin.

Visitors also stopped by the Ra-Ve table to enjoy Indian traditional board games and conversations, all running smoothly thanks to the wonderful support of our volunteers, Ovya Venkat and Nandhini Varadaraj.

Later in the day, the Commons came alive with a multicultural dance presentation featuring Bengali, Marathi, and Kannada dance traditions, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage represented within our community.

As Crystal Bridges begins this exciting new chapter, it was wonderful to see art, music, dance, and community participation woven throughout the opening weekend. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the celebration and look forward to many more moments like these in the new spaces.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, perform, volunteer, and explore and for making this grand opening an unforgettable milestone in the history of Northwest Arkansas.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Natyam this spring and helped create such a meaningful celebration of Indian classical dance in Northwest Arkansas. We are deeply grateful to our dancers, MCs, volunteers, families, and audience members whose energy and support continue to make these community showcases possible.

No matter where we are, Ra-Ve remains committed to creating space for Indian Classical Arts to be experienced, shared, and carried forward through our community. A special thank you to Edmosound for providing sound and lighting support, and to KD Productions for capturing, streaming, and editing the performances so these moments can continue to live beyond the stage.
