Cameron Culclager, player number 5, is a guard on our team. Some things she loves to do are competing in pageants, playing softball, and going on sunset walks. A hidden talent of hers is that she can wiggle her ears. Her favorite Basketball memory is them making it past the first round of state! Her favorite quote to live by is “you can’t let your failures define you, you have to let your failures teach you” by Barack Obama. Her favorite part about the team is how well they get along and bond together. Her favorite hype song is “Moment 4 Life” by Nicki Minaj.

Throwback to the crown that started it all. This week we’re sharing about the first crown we won.

In 2019, I was crowned Mrs. Saline County Fair Queen, my very first title. I wasn’t in it for the glitz and glam (truth be told, I didn’t know much about that part at all).

What I did know, was that I had a mission on my heart, and I was determined to share it. When they placed that crown on my head, I had no idea the real gift wasn’t the sparkle, it was the microphone it gave me, sounds like a cliché, right? People started listening. My mission found its audience. That’s when I learned the true power of the crown. It’s not just about wearing it, it’s about using it to make a difference.

Hey y’all, I’m Tara Shelton — and the Saline County Fair is in my blood!
I may have worn the crown as the 2004 Saline County Fair Queen, but my love for the fair started long before I could even spell “pageant.” My family has been a part of this tradition for generations, and some of my best memories were made right here during fair week.

Now, I get to pass on that same magic — helping contestants shine on stage, build confidence, and make memories that last a lifetime. 💖
