Innovative Grant Award Celebration January 27, 2026

The Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona hosted its annual Innovative Grant Award Celebration on Tuesday at the Cochise College Student Union Building on the Sierra Vista campus, recognizing organizations advancing community health and wellness across the region. The Innovative Grant program provides up to $50,000 per year for a maximum of two years, allowing awards of up to $100,000 to support impactful and sustainable initiatives.
This year, 11 organizations received grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. Legacy Foundation CEO Margaret Hepburn welcomed attendees and highlighted the importance of the Innovative Grants in addressing pressing community needs. She emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to supporting programs that promote collaboration, sustainability, and long-term health outcomes.
Several members of the Legacy Foundation Board and staff joined Hepburn in presenting the awards and speaking about the Foundation’s mission. The Innovative Grants align with the Foundation’s goal of promoting population health and community wellness in Cochise County and eastern Santa Cruz County, strengthening local efforts to improve overall quality of life.

We have some exciting news to share for the San Pedro Valley community!
The San Pedro Spotlight Foundation is honored to have received a grant from the Legacy Foundation to help us begin offering scholarships for students from low-income families to participate in performing arts programs. This funding helps remove financial barriers so more children can experience the confidence, creativity, and connection that the arts provide.
This is just the beginning. As we grow, we are working toward expanding our outreach to students with disabilities by developing specialized classes and providing scholarships to ensure truly inclusive access to the arts.
We are incredibly grateful to the Legacy Foundation for believing in this mission and helping us turn these goals into action for local families.

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Benson!

The San Pedro Spotlight Foundation is incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club of Benson for their generous donation in support of our mission.

Because of community partners like Rotary, we are able to continue inclusive programming, and provide support for local students and families- helping more students in the San Pedro Valley experience confidence, belonging, and joy through the arts.

Benson Rotary is thrilled to be working with the San Pedro Spotlight Foundation.
