A huge thank you to the the Antioch Police Department for showing Matthias so much support this week! 💙

On Tuesday, members of the department joined us at Culver’s of Antioch for an incredible community fundraiser that raised more than $1,000 for Matthias Academy. As if that wasn’t enough, they also surprised our staff with a generous donation of Double Good Popcorn!

The popcorn was part of another fundraiser supporting Special Olympics, making this an especially sweet example of generosity going full circle and benefiting multiple organizations that support individuals with disabilities.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Village of Antioch Police for continuing to show up for Matthias and for the many ways they support our students, staff, and community. Thank you for being such wonderful community partners!

The water may have been chilly, but that didn’t stop the Thetas from making a splash! 🌊🚤

Our Theta group headed to Twin Lakes for an adaptive watersports event hosted by H20 Adaptive Sports and Abbott Laboratories. Using an adapted waterski, students had the opportunity to get out on the water and experience the thrill of being pulled behind a boat.

Trying something new can take a little courage, and seeing those smiles at the end of each ride made every cold splash completely worth it!

A huge thank you to H2O Adaptive Sports , Abbott and everyone who helped make this experience accessible and possible for our students. 💙

🍋 A small gesture with a big message.

Our students wanted to thank the hardworking crew from NextGen Construction for everything they’re doing to bring our new 83 Campus expansion to life. So, they did what anyone would appreciate on a warm summer day—they served up some cold lemonade!

Watching this new space take shape has been exciting, and we’re incredibly grateful to the construction team for the care and dedication they’re putting into a building that will create new opportunities for the people we serve for years to come.

From feeling the sand between their toes to enjoying the fresh lake breeze with friends, this outing was the perfect way to soak up the season. Sometimes the best memories are made with good company and a beautiful day by the water.

🐴💙 A group of our students had the opportunity to spend the day at Susanna Farms / Equine Healing , where they experienced the joy of horseback riding in a peaceful and welcoming environment. For many, it was a chance to try something new, build confidence, and connect with these incredible animals.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Susanna Farms for sharing your horses, your time, and your kindness with our students. It was a day they won’t soon forget.

There’s something extra special about creating something with your own hands. 👕🎨

A huge thank you to Phantasy Prints for giving our Kappa Squad students the opportunity to experience the art of screen printing! Students learned the process from start to finish before printing their very own matching T-shirts to take home.

It was a day filled with creativity, hands-on learning, and plenty of pride in a job well done. Thank you, CJ - Screen Printing for sharing your time, talent, and expertise with our students!
