Applications for BendFilm: Basecamp 2026 are officially open! 🎥 🌲

From May 1 through June 14, filmmakers from around the world are invited to apply for this four-day retreat in the Cascade Mountains. Basecamp brings together a small cohort of early-to-mid career filmmakers to workshop their pitches, meet one-on-one with industry mentors, and gain clear insight into how to move projects forward in a changing film landscape.

If you are ready to push your project forward and build lasting relationships in the process, this is the place to do it.

The 2026 BendFilm Gala silent auction is live! Our silent auction boasts a wide variety of packages, including air travel, staycations, wellness experiences, arts festivals, and so much more!

Browse and bid right from your phone or computer today. Attendance to our Gala is not required to participate in the silent auction. All money raised from the auction will directly support initiatives like BendFilm Basecamp, movies in the park, summer filmmaking camps, and the Bend Film Festival.

All money raised by this event will go towards supporting our independent film initiatives, such as BendFilm: Basecamp, children's summer camps, free movies in the park, and the beloved Bend Film Festival.

Congratulations to the 2025 Bend Film Festival award winning short films and filmmakers!

The 2025 Narrative, Animated and Documentary Shorts jury comprised Sandrine Faucher Cassidy, Max Geschwind and Halle Mariner. Best indigenous short was decided by LaRonn Katchia, Masami Kawai, and Jessie Sears. The inaugural Youth Jurors were Laney McDonald and Parker Adam. Andy Hines judged the Music Video Competition.

Best Animated Short Film: Gilbert, directed by Arturo Lacal, Alex Salu, Jordi Jiménez

Best Comedy Short Film: Teen Mary, directed by Ali Rosenthal

Best Dramatic Short Film: Quaker, directed by Giovanna Molina

Best Documentary Short Film: Sama, directed by Bachar Khattar

Best Indigenous Short Film: Invisible Dragons, directed by Victoria Boult
