No one should die on the streets in Central Oregon. Let’s honor and remember those that have, and work together to keep it from happening in the future.

Mosaic will be participating in the Longest Night Memorial on Dec. 21 in Drake Park from 5-6 p.m, organized by the Central Oregon Homeless Leadership Coalition. This outdoor vigil is open to the public to honor community members who have died while experiencing homelessness in Central Oregon this year.

Mosaic provider Kerry Gillette cares for Central Oregon's houseless population every day. She says that the death that hit hardest for her this year was someone who had been her patient for many years. "He was kind and selflessly cared for his partner until she passed. He then decided to focus on his health, but at that point it was too late."

Kerry will be singing at the memorial event as a way to honor his life and the lives of others.

"It’s definitely an emotionally hard but good event, allowing those of us who care for the population to grieve together."

✨ Cleveland Commons: A Community Effort to End Chronic Homelessness ✨

FUSE is proud to help bring Central Oregon's first Permanent Supportive Housing community to life! Cleveland Commons will provide 33 stable homes with the wraparound services needed to support medically vulnerable individuals exiting chronic homelessness.

As the services convener, FUSE has worked since 2020 to coordinate partnerships, bridge funding gaps, and ensure this vision became reality—alongside amazing partners like Housing Works Shepherd's House Ministries, EPIC PM, Pinnacle Architecture, and many more.

The vibrant mural by Sarah Swoffer with Let's Paint reflects the hope and creativity fueling this effort. Learn more about this exciting step towards ending homelessness in our community:

😥 Help us find a home!
As many of you know, we've been asked to move.
We had a great lead on a space where we - alongside other service providers - could happily exist sometime in late 2024.
That possibility has come to an end.
So... Who do you know?

We need a building:
-accessible to transportation
-accessible to other major services
-large enough for a commercial kitchen and dining space and room for offices for our colleagues from other service agencies

It's almost time for Thanksgiving!
Well... We'd say it's ALWAYS time for thanks giving 😁
We're looking forward to serving on Thanksgiving Day both at our Bend location AND - with the help of fabulous partners and volunteers - at shelter and home locations all over town!

Like for the Lighthouse Shelter and Navigation Center (we provide three meals daily there year 'round).
And for the Stepping Stone Shelter through (where we provide one meal daily all year 'round)...
[for these two partnerships, we charge a greatly reduced fee per meal so their focus can be on housing and case management]

And also on Thanksgiving Day, there will be angel deliveries at no charge to homes and apartments - also something that happens several times a week year 'round.

We're making our regional Housing Barrier Busting Fund process more efficient, and we need a tech wizard for a one-time project to build integrations across the platforms we use. Volunteer preferred, but a paid contract is possible.

The FUSE Housing Barrier Busting Fund is open for business!

Just two months into this pilot program, FUSE has already helped support eight formerly homeless households move off the streets and into stable housing! FUSE created the Barrier Busting Fund to support the important work of our partner agencies by providing fast, flexible funding when it's needed most. Together, we're leveraging resources and ending homelessness for Central Oregonians.
