A-shift was treated to a stellar home-cooked meal by a special guest chef…12-year-old Grayson Gordon! 🧑‍🍳

A couple weeks ago, Grayson visited the station to learn about creating a home fire escape plan for his family of 7. He toured the station and interviewed firefighters to gain insight on implementing the best fire safety and escape plan for their home.

As a thank you to the crew, Grayson and his family cooked up a delicious pasta bar complete with different noodle, meat, and sauce choices with salad and bread, and the icing on the cake - a red velvet cake for dessert! It was such a huge treat and we can’t thank the Gordon family enough; not only for dinner, but for prioritizing home fire safety. 💦 🔥 🧯

🏃‍♀️💜 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 💜🏃‍♂️

In the spirit of helping one of our neighboring communities shine a light and raise donations for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, (PanCAN), we are sharing this call for volunteers.

The 5th Annual Race on Race St. is coming up on October 10, 2026, and we need YOU to help make race day a success! 🏁

The Race on Race St. is more than just a race. Our mission is to raise awareness and collect donations for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) and support the fight against pancreatic cancer.

There are plenty of ways to get involved, whether you want to help behind the scenes or be part of the race-day excitement!

🙌 Volunteer opportunities include:
• Pre-race packet stuffing
• Packet pick-up
• Race-day registration
• Parking
• Set-up
• Water stations
• Cheer squad 📣

We had a ball last night watching FD take on PD in a softball rematch. After last year’s near shutout, things went a little better this year. We’ll let PD take the win again…until next year! The score was 8-5, but we’re all friends here so does it really matter?!? 👮 💙 🚓 🚒 ❤️ 👨‍🚒
