Dedicated to keeping our regional heritage alive, the Historical Society is bringing history to life at the festival with a special look at Victory Gardens. The Nature Neighbors Festival isn't just about exploring booths—it's also about celebrating the vibrant culture of our community! That’s why we can't wait for you to experience the Bemidji Community Theater Kidz Club.

The Kidz Club gives local youth a wonderful outlet to express themselves and share their artistic gifts. At the festival, they’ll be taking us on a magical journey with a variety of nature-related songs from favorite musicals, including songs from their production of “The Sword and the Stone.” It's a fantastic, high-energy show that kids and parents alike will absolutely love.

At its heart, this local gem is all about connecting our community to the land through fresh, sustainably grown food and farm-fresh treats. Ready to get your hands a little dirty? We are thrilled to have Hubbard County Master Gardener, Becky Schueller joining us! The Master Gardeners believe that every child can be a successful grower, and Becky is bringing the perfect project to help those big dreams take root.

The Planting Party:

Nature Neighbors Spotlight: Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society 🦅🌲

We are soaring with excitement to have the Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society (MHAS) joining us for Nature Neighbors Day! As the stewards of the beautiful Neilson Spearhead Nature Preserve, these folks are the local experts on the birds, wildlife, and ecosystems that make our region so vibrant.

The Audubon Society is all about "wildlife, water, and wonder." They spend their time connecting people of all ages to the natural world—whether it’s through their Young Naturalist camps or protecting the habitats where our local loons and eagles thrive.

Following the 2025 storm that changed our skyline, it’s time to look forward and grow back stronger! In honor of our "Year of the Tree" theme, we are beyond excited to announce that Let’s Plant Trees has provided FREE native tree saplings to Nature Neighbors Day!
Our community lost many of its giants last year, and now your family can be part of the healing process by helping us rebuild our canopy, one backyard at a time.

Saplings are available while supplies last, so come early and help us turn the page to a greener chapter for our town! 🌍🌱

What’s a festival without a little bit of color? We are thrilled to announce that face painting will be available at Nature Neighbors Day!

Whether your little explorer wants to transform into a woodland fox, a fluttering monarch butterfly, or a bright summer sunflower, our face painting station is ready to bring those nature vibes to life. It’s the perfect way to wear your love for the outdoors right on your sleeve (or, well, your cheeks!).
