Big Announcement! 🎉

Santa for Seniors is now officially becoming Connected Generations Foundation.

As we’ve worked through the process of establishing our own nonprofit and applying for 501(c)(3) status, we realized we needed a name that better reflects the full vision of what we hope to accomplish in our communities.

While our primary focus has been providing customized holiday gift baskets to seniors in nursing homes and low-income seniors, we’ve already begun expanding our outreach through a monthly birthday program at the Belton Senior Center. We also hope to bring that same program into local nursing homes in the future.

Beyond the holidays, our long-term goal is to provide essential support to seniors in need while helping bridge the gap between isolated seniors and the communities around them — which is exactly what inspired the name Connected Generations Foundation.

Our 501(c)(3) application is currently in progress as we await IRS determination, and we’re incredibly excited about what the future holds. This year, we hope to expand into new communities and impact more seniors than ever through kindness, connection, and practical support.

We hope our faithful supporters will continue this journey with us through this small name change. Our holiday basket program will still be known as Santa for Seniors, while our overall organization transitions to Connected Generations Foundation.

So much fun serving seniors at the Belton Senior Center. One lady was tearing up over a large-print paper book. She said she always reads in her kindle because it’s large print but it’s going to be so special to hold a book in her hands again. Many seniors said their sponsor went ABOVE and BEYOND! Thank you to each person who makes this outreach possible. It’s truly Christmas magic getting to show love to these folks ❤️

We are still looking for volunteers to help us deliver the Christmas baskets next week! If you are free on Tuesday, December 16 or Wednesday, December 17, consider serving with us! We specifically need help Tuesday afternoon delivering to Meadowview in Harrisonville.

These volunteer openings are available to Santa for seniors sponsors first. Please only sign up for one slot so that as many people as possible can participate. You are welcome to sign up for the facility your senior is located at which should be in your email with the seniors wish list. Please come...

We always open to last years sponsors first so we already have about 110 seniors covered but will likely need 100-150 more! Please sign up early for your chance to make a gift basket for a local senior based off a wishlist/needs that we receive from them. We suggest spending between $50-$100 per basket. Wishlists will be emailed to you by Nov 23rd and basket drop off will be Dec 13th and 14th. Feel free reach out with any additional questions.

We are so excited for another year of Santa for Seniors! We are an outreach program dedicated to bridging the gap between generations by ensuring seniors feel remembered, valued, and connected to their community. Sponsors make custom gift baskets for seniors based on a wishlist they fill out with their wants and needs.

Last year we served nearly 300 seniors and hope to do about that this year through our partnership with Beautiful Savior Nursing Home, Belton Senior Center, and Meadow View Health in Harrisonville!

Here is a look at years past.... We can't wait to see how we're able to make an impact this year!
