Residents of Dayton will have two opportunities in July to attend public hearings on AES Ohio's proposed three-year electric rate increase plan, allowing them to provide feedback before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio makes a final decision on the rate adjustments.

Today was certainly a community building events around town. Started at Yellow Cab was the Soccer Watch Party - USA vs Australia. One of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute project groups planned and put this event together. It was a great event and a huge turn out!

The 2nd event was Music In The Park at Nordale Park in the Belmont Neighborhood. This event was sponsored by your BEH Council! We had 3 bands perform tonight. It was a beautiful evening. 68 people came to enjoy the evening!

This sounds like this will be interesting to see how this project will help the development of the neighborhoods.

The City of Dayton is launching Revive35, a community-driven effort to explore the future of the U.S. 35 corridor.

Supported by a $2 million federal grant, the project will examine opportunities to improve safety, connectivity, accessibility, and economic opportunity while strengthening neighborhoods along the corridor.

Most importantly, community input will help shape the process.

Exciting news! We have reached the magic number of 100, actually 106 followers!!!! This means come August we will be able to live stream our meetings! Even though we will live stream the meetings, there is no interaction, so please continue to come to the meetings.

There will be NO meeting in July. Next meeting will be August 17 at 6:30 PM!

AdaptDayton, an initiative to review and update Dayton’s zoning and engagement process, has upcoming open houses for residents to view survey results and share their thoughts on the initiative. See the flyer for details on two upcoming open houses in June.

Join the Walnut Hills Neighborhood Association, Llinden Heights Community Council, and us at a 3 community Fourth of July (on the 3rd), picnic and Fire Works Party at Walnut Hills Park. All we ask is to bring your own drinks and a dish to share! Meat and buns will be provided! I will post time when I have it!

Reminder thatnour next BEH Community Council meeting is Monday June 15, 2026! We will gather at Lohrey Center. Let’s finalize our constitution and begin work on our safety plan for the neighborhoods. As I am in a totally different time zone I will just say the usual time!
