Project Socks

Project Socks An awesome, fully registered tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit that a teenager with a big heart ❤️ (me) founded this Summer.

I believed one small act could spark big change. We collect, deliver and donate new socks🧦 to our most vulnerable neighbors. Project Socks is registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing the comfort, health and dignity of people in need. We collect, deliver, and donate new socks to shelters and community organizations. One pair at a time, we bring warmth and care to our most vulnerable neighbors.

Every time a business says yes, more people get help.

That's why I'm excited to announce that re/CHIC in Waltham is Project Socks' newest business partner and will be hosting a sock drive throughout the month of June. 💙🧦

When I started Project Socks, I never imagined how many incredible people and businesses would step up to support the mission. Every partnership helps raise awareness, collect more socks, and reach more people in need.

A special thank you to Mrs. Falone for her kindness, support, and willingness to get involved. It was great spending time together, learning more about re/CHIC, and seeing firsthand how much she cares about making a difference in the community.

If you're in the Waltham area this month, bring new crew socks to 📍709 Main St and get a discount on your purchase.

Since September of 2025 I have donated 6,154 pairs to 15 shelters and community organizations across Greater Boston. Still pushing toward 10,000. 🎯

Follow along to help me reach my goal 🙏

6,154 pairs of socks delivered 🤩

That’s a number I honestly never imagined reaching this quickly when I started Project Socks last September.

This week, I delivered another 523 pairs to Cradles to Crayons Massachusetts and had the opportunity to go inside, learn more about the work they do, and speak with two incredible members of their team (Ms. Katy DeMoura and Ms. Alicia Kabir)

Hearing about the impact they make for children and families across Massachusetts was both inspiring and grounding. It reminded me that something as simple as socks can make a real difference and that small acts of care matter more than we often realize.

Moments like these continue to show me how many amazing people and organizations are working every day to support others, and I’m really grateful to play even a small part in that work.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Project Socks and help make deliveries like this possible 💙🧦

What started with a ton of cold calls to local shelters turned into something I never expected.

I’m grateful to have received the Dartmouth College Book Award, and thankful that Project Socks played such a pivotal role.

Since September of 2025, this mission has grown far beyond what I imagined it would ever be, from a simple idea to over 6,000 pairs of socks distributed across Greater Boston through the support of an incredible community.

This recognition reflects the impact that all of us have made together. Thank you to everyone who has donated, partnered with me, supported drives, or helped spread the mission of Project Socks.

Excited to keep growing and continuing the work.

This past Saturday, TITLE Boxing Club Watertown hosted a “Box for Sox” class supporting Project Socks.

I’m incredibly grateful to Mr. Lally and everyone at TITLE Boxing Watertown for not only hosting this event, but for genuinely supporting our mission and helping bring the community together around a meaningful cause.

It was amazing seeing people show up, work hard, have fun, and support individuals in need cross Greater Boston at the same time.

Partnerships like this are what make Project Socks possible, and I am thankful to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make the event such a huge success!

A huge thank you to Coach Lindsay for kicking my butt 🥊😳😂

Thanks again to TITLE Boxing Club Watertown and Mr. Lally for an unforgettable event and an incredible partnership.

Bin will be at the club all week for collections!

You guys donated OVER 500 pairs of socks.. so now I have to suffer the consequences 😭💀

Seriously though thank you! Every donation helps provide new socks to people in need to project socks, and this campaign blew me away!

Now enjoy 5 year-old me thinking he was Macklemore😂

Good intentions are a start, but I’m more interested in why they usually aren’t enough to actually solve anything. 🌍

I started a blog called Beyond Good Intentions.✍🏻 It’s where I’m using a sociological lens to look at social entrepreneurship, behavior, and inequality. I’m interested in the gap between the ideas we’re sold and how those systems actually play out in the real world.....from the health reality of a pair of socks to why "environment" shapes our actions more than "awareness" ever will. 📖

I don’t have the answers. I’m just using this to ask better questions about the structures we live in and document my own evolving understanding of them.

If you want to see what actually happens when "good intentions" meet the real world, you can read the first three posts here:

At 17 years old, I've learned that a simple idea and a lot of heart can actually change a community.

I'm incredibly honored to share that Project Socks was selected as one of 34 nonprofit winners at Watertown Savings Bank - Massachusetts 27th Annual Customer Choice Awards and received a $2,500 award to purchase new socks.

This support will provide thousands of pairs of new socks across shelters, veterans, recovery programs, domestic violence survivors, and families in Greater Boston.

I was truly blown away to be in the company of such incredible organizations and stand alongside these change makers.

A huge thank you to Watertown Savings Bank for investing in local nonprofits and believing in the vision of a teenager.

Thank you to everyone who voted for and has supported Project Socks from the beginning. I truly couldn’t do this without our community.

Over 5,100 pairs delivered. 10,000 pairs is the goal 💙🧦

If you believe that no one in Greater Boston should have to go without the basic comfort of socks, please SHARE this post. Every share helps a 17-year-old’s mission reach one more person who needs help.

Waltham, Let's Fill The Bin! 🧦☕

This month, Project Socks is partnering with Common Good Co. in a way that’s simple but powerful.

Every time someone walks in for coffee, they now have a choice:
Drop a token. Give cash. Be part of something.

And for the entire month of May, there’s also a sock drive happening right inside the shop!

Head down to 419 Moody Street in Waltham and drop off new unworn crew socks in the bin.

Mr. Thurman and the crew at Common Good Co. are proving that local businesses are the heartbeat of community care.

It might not seem like much. But here’s the reality:
Socks are one of the most requested item in shelters and one of the least donated.

So a small moment like buying a coffee, dropping a token, bringing a pair of socks can turn into something real for someone who needs it.

That’s what makes this partnership special. It’s not complicated. It just takes a business willing to care.

A Huge thank you to Mr. Thurman and the entire Common Good team for stepping up and making this happen.

If you’re nearby, stop in this month, grab a delicious coffee, and be part of it.

And if you own or run a business, this is something you can do too.
I'm looking for more places to host drives and build moments like this across our community. DM me for info.

As always, thank you for helping me help others! I am half way to my goal of 10,000 pairs! 🧦💙

don’t make me regret this…

I posted this on Instagram, but I figured I’d share it here too.

When I was 5 years old, I made the most embarrassing rap video ever and it still exists.

If we can collect 500 pairs of socks through Project Socks, I’ll post it.

Socks are one of the most needed items in shelters, and every pair goes directly to people in need.

We’re currently at 419/500

If you want to help or just want to see the video you can donate here at the DONATE button at the top of my page or on the website at:

Let’s see if this was a mistake😂
