I collect, deliver and donate new socks to our most vulnerable neighbors in Greater Boston. Project Socks is registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing the comfort, health and dignity of people in need. We collect, deliver, and donate new socks to shelters and community organizations. One pair at a time, we bring warmth and care to our most vulnerable neighbors.

Some of the best parts of Project Socks have nothing to do with socks. 💙

This week, I drove out to Hingham to see Ms. Beth Timperi and make Project Socks' second delivery to COPE Community Offering People Encouragement and brought 504 pairs of new socks!

The work that all the volunteers accomplish at COPE is truly amazing.

There's so much effort and caring that happens behind the scenes to collect, organize, store, and distribute essential items to people who need them. Seeing that work up close and getting to know some of the people responsible for it, has become one of my favorite parts of Project Socks.

When I started this, I was focused on getting socks to as many people as possible. I didn't realize how meaningful it would be to return to the same organizations, see familiar faces, and build relationships with people who care so deeply about their communities.

Thank you Ms. Timperi, and everyone at COPE for welcoming me back and for everything you do to help others.

I'm proud that Project Socks could return with 504 more pairs, and even more grateful that this wasn't our first time working together. 💙🧦

One conversation can create hundreds of opportunities to make a difference. 💙

This month, thanks to the amazing Mr. Dave Melchiorri, Niko Ohannesian, and the entire team at Professional Physical Therapy on Winter Street in Waltham, another one of those opportunities is officially underway.

Throughout the month of August, their clinic is hosting a Project Socks sock drive, giving patients, staff, and members of the community the chance to donate new crew socks for people experiencing homelessness and hardship across Greater Boston.

A donation box may seem like a small thing. But every pair placed inside represents someone choosing to care about a person they may never meet.

That’s what makes these partnerships so meaningful to me. One business opens its doors, and suddenly an entire community has another way to give back.

A huge thank you to Mr. Melchiorri, Niko, and the entire Professional Physical Therapy team for believing in Project Socks and helping me continue to grow it's impact.

One chapter doesn't define you.

When we hear the word addiction, it's easy to let someone's hardest chapter become their whole story.

But that's not who they are.

Behind every person is someone fighting to rebuild their life, reconnect with their family, repair relationships, and believe that tomorrow can be better than today.

I had the privilege of delivering 500 pairs of new socks to Hope House Boston, Project Socks' newest community partner.

A new pair of socks won't rewrite someone's story.

But it can provide comfort, dignity, and a reminder that someone believes in them.

Thank you to the incredible team at Hope House for the warm welcome and for the compassion, hope, and encouragement you provide every day. Especially to Ms. Orlando and Ms. Nichols. I'm honored that Project Socks could play a small part in supporting your mission.

And thank you to everyone who continues to support Project Socks. Every donation, every business partnership, and every share helps make moments like this possible.

Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness remind someone that they're more than the hardest chapter of their life. 🧦💙

Sometimes making a difference starts by asking a question.

Before every Project Socks delivery, I ask each community partner the same thing:

"What do you need most right now?"

Every organization is different. Some need children's socks. Others need men's or women's sizes. Some have limited storage space. Listening first helps make sure every donation has the greatest possible impact.

I'm so excited to welcome REACH Beyond Domestic Violence in Waltham as Project Socks' newest community partner! 💙

After talking with their team, I delivered 310 pairs of new socks, the amount they could immediately distribute to survivors of domestic violence and their families.

Thank you to Ms. Castaneda and everyone at REACH for the warm welcome and for the incredible work you do every day. And thank you to everyone who continues to support Project Socks. Every donation, every share, and every encouraging message helps make partnerships like this possible.

This delivery has stayed on my mind.

I had the privilege of delivering 510 pairs of socks to Lazarus Ministries (Lazarus House) in Lawrence.

Walking through their doors was a reminder of two things that can both be true at once.

I felt grateful that a place like Lazarus House exists...a place where their guests can find support, a shower, a meal, clean clothing, a haircut, and people who genuinely care.

At the same time, I felt heartbroken that so many people need a place like this in the first place.

One of my favorite parts of the visit was learning about the different ways the community comes together to help, including student barbers who volunteer their time and skills by providing free haircuts while gaining experience themselves. Moments like that remind me that kindness often spreads in ways we don't always see.

Every time I make a delivery, I leave with more than an empty trunk. I leave with a deeper understanding of the people, organizations, and communities Project Socks is fortunate to support.

Every time a business says yes, more people get help.

That's why I'm excited to announce that re/CHIC in Waltham is Project Socks' newest business partner and will be hosting a sock drive throughout the month of June. 💙🧦

When I started Project Socks, I never imagined how many incredible people and businesses would step up to support the mission. Every partnership helps raise awareness, collect more socks, and reach more people in need.

A special thank you to Mrs. Falone for her kindness, support, and willingness to get involved. It was great spending time together, learning more about re/CHIC, and seeing firsthand how much she cares about making a difference in the community.

6,154 pairs of socks delivered 🤩

That’s a number I honestly never imagined reaching this quickly when I started Project Socks last September.

This week, I delivered another 523 pairs to Cradles to Crayons Massachusetts and had the opportunity to go inside, learn more about the work they do, and speak with two incredible members of their team (Ms. Katy DeMoura and Ms. Alicia Kabir)

Hearing about the impact they make for children and families across Massachusetts was both inspiring and grounding. It reminded me that something as simple as socks can make a real difference and that small acts of care matter more than we often realize.

Moments like these continue to show me how many amazing people and organizations are working every day to support others, and I’m really grateful to play even a small part in that work.

What started with a ton of cold calls to local shelters turned into something I never expected.

I’m grateful to have received the Dartmouth College Book Award, and thankful that Project Socks played such a pivotal role.

Since September of 2025, this mission has grown far beyond what I imagined it would ever be, from a simple idea to over 6,000 pairs of socks distributed across Greater Boston through the support of an incredible community.

This recognition reflects the impact that all of us have made together. Thank you to everyone who has donated, partnered with me, supported drives, or helped spread the mission of Project Socks.

Excited to keep growing and continuing the work.

This past Saturday, TITLE Boxing Club Watertown hosted a “Box for Sox” class supporting Project Socks.

I’m incredibly grateful to Mr. Lally and everyone at TITLE Boxing Watertown for not only hosting this event, but for genuinely supporting our mission and helping bring the community together around a meaningful cause.

It was amazing seeing people show up, work hard, have fun, and support individuals in need cross Greater Boston at the same time.

Partnerships like this are what make Project Socks possible, and I am thankful to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make the event such a huge success!

You guys donated OVER 500 pairs of socks.. so now I have to suffer the consequences 😭💀

Seriously though thank you! Every donation helps provide new socks to people in need to project socks, and this campaign blew me away!

Now enjoy 5 year-old me thinking he was Macklemore😂
