"Burlingame’s Broadway intersection was listed as the state’s second most important rail crossing to grade separate and the top in Northern California...

"For the second year, other Caltrain crossings were also ranked high with the cities of San Bruno and South San Francisco’s adjacent crossings at Scott Street and South Linden Avenue clocking in at fifth on the list. San Mateo’s 25th Avenue project, which also includes new grade separated connections at 28th and 31st avenues, was listed as number eight. San Mateo’s project was moved down from seventh place in the Fiscal Year 2015-16 list, but is also the furthest along with funding secured and construction anticipated soon."

However, all too often a prize winning bike lane abruptly stops. This is particularly difficult to remedy across city jurisdictions.

Fortunately, some cities are working together to address cross jurisdictional gaps. Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City and Menlo Park have banded together to plan and fund projects that span their city borders.

A new report by Joint Venture and the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition shows how cities can make biking safer. More riders will mean less obesity, better mental health and fewer cars on the road,

Want to put your money where your values are? Attend this workshop in Palo Alto tonight! The big banks are much too invested in pipelines and extreme fossil fuels to justify staying with them. Instead, you may want to try the Sierra Club VISA card that operates through Beneficial State Bank, founded by climate activist Tom Steyer. David Elliston of 350 SV can advise on moving your credit cards, checking, and savings accounts. Please RSVP.

Electrification of Caltrain is at risk. Please sign and share this petition by February 15.

California's GOP members of congress are playing politics with public transportation, urging the Trump Administration to pull funding from a vital project in the Bay Area — Caltrain electrification.

If the GOP can convince the Administration to kill this vital project in Silicon Valley — one of the economic engines of the country — it will embolden them to come after public transit funding anywhere.

We can't let that happen. Sign this petition now and share it widely: http://bit.ly/2lmMRkz
