THANK YOU, PRGE 2026!
What an incredible weekend for RVRA!
After all the planning, preparation, and hard work, our Sierra Legends: Adventures Past, Adventures Now exhibit came to life at Portland Retro Gaming Expo, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
Bringing together the people who helped create the games we grew up with, the developers carrying that legacy forward, and the fans who continue to celebrate them is exactly what RVRA is all about.
To the alumni, game developers, musicians, historians, panelists, and special guests who joined us, thank you for sharing your time, stories, experiences, and talents. Your participation gave visitors the opportunity to connect with the people behind these games and learn more about their history.
To everyone who contributed artifacts, original artwork, game boxes, collectibles, and other materials to our museum, thank you for trusting us with pieces of gaming history and helping us share them with the public.
To our volunteers and the entire RVRA team, we cannot thank you enough. From months of preparation and exhibit construction to transportation, setup, technical support, staffing, coordinating guests, and everything that happened behind the scenes, this was a tremendous undertaking. Your time, energy, and dedication made it possible.
Thank you to our donors, sponsors, and supporters whose contributions helped bring the museum and its programming to PRGE, and to the Portland Retro Gaming Expo organizers for giving us the opportunity to be part of this event.
A special thank you to the incredible musicians who took the stage for the Boomer Jam! It was wonderful to see so much talent, creativity, and camaraderie come together, along with the friends and fellow musicians who joined in and helped make it such a memorable experience.
And of course, a very special thank you to Roberta Vaughan, whose passion for adventure games and remarkable ability to bring people together started all of this. The friendships, connections, and community she built laid the foundation for what RVRA has become today.
To Roberta's family, thank you for your continued involvement, generosity, and support in helping us carry her legacy forward. Everything we are accomplishing is rooted in what she began, and we hope that seeing so many people come together to celebrate and preserve this history would have made her proud. Her influence continues to be felt in everything we do, and she will always be at the heart of RVRA.
And finally, to everyone who visited Sierra Legends, attended a panel, watched a live play, stopped to listen to the music, played a game, shared a memory, or simply came by to say hello, thank YOU!
One of the most meaningful parts of this weekend was seeing the connections being made. Former colleagues reconnecting, developers meeting the fans they've inspired, old friends finding each other, and new friendships forming around a shared love of adventure games.
These games have brought people together for decades, and this weekend was another reminder of why their history is so important.
Our mission at RVRA is to connect the future of entertainment to the adventures of the past. This weekend showed us just how much there is to celebrate, preserve, and share with future generations.
Thank you for being part of Sierra Legends. We look forward to sharing what's next!
