September 4-7 at the Seattle Convention Center, come see new updated exhibits, playable games, memorabilia, and more!

We’ll be celebrating the history of full-motion video games - the actors, creators, technology, stories, and strange experiments that made the era so memorable.

PAX West runs September 4-7, 2026 at the Seattle Convention Center.

Some familiar faces, a new stage, and a whole lot of FMV history.

At PAX West, Lorelei Shannon, designer and writer of Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh joins Paul Morgan Stetler, who played Curtis in Phantasmagoria 2, and Victoria Morsell Hemingson, Adrienne in the original Phantasmagoria , for a conversation hosted by Anna Vigue and Jackie Stargrove.

They’ll dig into what it was actually like using full-motion video to build horror, tension, character and the supernatural in two of Sierra’s most memorable games, then follow that story forward to the work they’re doing today and the ways FMV is finding new life in their current projects.

Don’t miss The Past, Present and Future of FMV Games at PAX West on September 6, hosted by Sean Parker and Jackie Stargrove!

The panel will explore how full-motion video games began, how the genre evolved, the creative and technical challenges behind them, and where FMV games may go next!

RVRA’s FMV Museum will also be at PAX West, celebrating the games, performers and creators who helped shape the genre.

Cheack out Sean Meyer's tribute FMV video for Roberta's Birthday streaming tribute!
"A tribute playthrough for a friend, Roberta Vaughan, who loved adventure games and FMVs, Rest in Peace.

Zelenhgorm was a pretty ambitious FMV game by a Swedish studio, Moloto, back in 2002. From what bits and pieces you can find online, they made only one episode before not being able to secure funds for further stories. And more would sadly strike the production when the head concept writer/story & script, Magnus Welinder, passed away.
In the end, we are left with a tease of what might have been.

We'll join Arrikk, a left-handed outcast, as he navigates distrustful and mean townsfolk on his way to figuring out what exactly is this 'abomination' of a ship that has docked itself outside his home."
