Happy Ride Transit Month! 🚆🎉

Every June, riders, transit agencies, and sustainable transportation organizations across Washington State come together to celebrate the role public transit plays in connecting our communities.

Whether you ride every day or you’ve been meaning to try it, this is your month. If you’re a Bellevue employer, it’s also a great time to explore ORCA Business Programs for your team. Unlimited transit access across seven agencies and four counties, starting as low as $15/month per employee.

🚌 A First look at the brand new decal heading to ORCA Business Passport worksites across the region! 🎉

Last Fall, we pitched this idea to King County Metro. We wanted to give employers a way to show they support public transportation and that they care about how their employees get to work. King County Metro made it happen, and you’re seeing it here before anyone else.

If your worksite offers subsidized transit through ORCA Business Passport, this will be showing up in your mail soon.

🚲 Bike Everywhere Day is on Wednesday, May 13, and we want to see you out there!

Connect Bellevue will be set up at the I-90 Trail from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Stop by to say hi, meet fellow cyclists, and grab some snacks, drinks, and exclusive swag.

Whether you're a daily bike commuter or hopping on for the first time, Bike Everywhere Day is the perfect excuse to leave the car at home and enjoy the ride.

Last week, we joined Commute Seattle and Move Redmond for Transportation Transformation, a guided tour of the 2 Line Crosslake Connection, from Judkins Park all the way to Redmond.

Employee Transportation Coordinators (ETCs) from across our three regions got a firsthand look at the line that’s changing how we commute.

A huge thank you to Commute Seattle for bringing it all together, and to everyone who joined us. 🚆

The first and last leg of the commute looks different for everyone. For some employees it's a 10-minute walk. For others it's over a mile with no good options.

On April 15, Connect Bellevue is breaking down what's actually available in Bellevue to help employees bridge that distance. From Vanshare and MetroFlex to e-bikes, scooters, and updated micromobility options coming to the area.

Ridepanda will also be joining to share what commute patterns near Bellevue worksites are already telling us about how employees get to work.
