Thanks to all that attended our ROTT West meeting in Burien March 21st.
Special thanks to Brad Haskin, who provided updates on the HARM projects, as well as plans for 2026.

We had a very curious crowd and the questions were flowing. Thanks to many of you who brought relevant insight to the discussions.

We’ve been asked about purchasing the ROTT WEST PIZZA button that was sold at the event. A big thank you to Mr. Ron Tully for designing these beautiful buttons for ROTT.

We’re exactly one week away from our ROTT West event at the Burien Roundtable Pizza.
The event will take place from 6-9 pm on March. 21st. All welcome!
Plenty of H1 changes to discuss with everyone. 4 races, driver changes, and a new starting/points structure.

We at ROTT are sad to hear of the sudden passing of Chris Denslow. Chris was the epitome of a photographer. He showed up early and stayed late. I've never seen him post a picture that was out of focus and didn't show what he wanted us hydro enthusiasts to see. Rest in Peace Chris. You now can shoot all of the racers in heaven!

Looking forward to ROTT@ The Gold Cup July 26th at the Roundtable Pizza in Richland! 6-8pm and beyond(please refer to our earlier message on social event).

2025 event membership fees are $15 per individual, and $20 for a family. Fees go to cover our administrative expenses and awards(even PB-3 pays ‘em).

If you would like to pay in advance of the event, please send your payment to the following Venmo account(thank you Reggie!).

The same address can be used at the event to pay for auction winnings or other donations.

We’ll be sending out an agenda later this month. A nice place to cool down after a hot Saturday and reflect on the racing!

Please join us in celebrating the return of the Gold Cup to the Tri-Cities. There is always some great discussion after the first day of racing with the promise of more to come on Sunday. All ROTT members, hydroplane fans and followers, and their families are invited.

We would encourage you to arrive ahead of the published start time to enjoy food & drinks, as well as view both silent and regular auction items.

Should you have a special item(s)to donate to the Auction, please contact us and we’ll ensure to promote them in advance of the event.

Please keep in mind that racing events on Saturday may impact our actual event start time. Most of us are race volunteers, and may be delayed in arrival at Round Table. Should there be a delay, you can assume that we’ll arrive as soon as possible.

A complete agenda will be provided in the coming weeks as we get closer to Gold Cup race week, as well as membership pre-payments prior to the event.

2025 is off to an interesting start and we sincerely hope all of our members are experiencing happiness and good health!

The events this past week in the Los Angeles area have been shocking, and we want to let all of our hydroplane racing friends know we are thinking and praying for their families and communities.

We’ve had plenty of news in the H1 world, with more to come.
Major ownership changes, driver retirements, and who knows what around the corner.

ROTT is changing a bit too. We’ll shortly have an announcement on recent changes and new additions to the Board of Directors.

We’ll update you on the Tri-Cities APBA Gold Cup Saturday evening gathering July 26th, 2025(Auction supporting The Hydroplane & Raceboat Museum).

Most importantly, we’d like to update you on our annual ROTT West gathering, scheduled for Saturday, March 8th, 2025 at the Burien Roundtable Pizza location.

ROTT is pleased to announce that Mr. Brent Hall will be our featured speaker.
Brent left Bucket List Racing, and has ventured out with a group to form a new H1 Racing Team(U-37 Legacy Racing). I’ve attached a detailed article from The Seattle Times last Fall, written by Nathan Joyce, with photos by Kevin Clark.

Most certainly, we’ll be able to honor the legacy of our mutual friend, ROTT Board member, and photographer extraordinaire Lon Erikson, who passed away late last year.

We’re looking forward to kicking off the 2025 season in Burien and catching up with all of you!
