Now the Camp BGP is over, let's hear from one of the campers. Clara was our sole bass student and what an experience that is. "So hard to choose a favourite part of camp! For me, it was really about affirming that bluegrass music is a space where I belong as a q***r person. I've known that I loved the music and the sense of community, but I've often felt like the only q***r person at jams or festivals. It was so incredible to feel a deep sense of belonging while making the kind of music that I love." If you believe that more people should have access to this kind of experience please donate and make Camp BGP 2027 a reality!! 🎶🔥🔥 . Photo cred:

Now that camp BGP is over, let's hear from one of the campers. "Feeling that every space I entered was safe and welcoming made it that much easier to take musical and social risks. 😄 I came to camp not knowing anyone and having never played bluegrass music before and left with new friendships and the lift from instructors and fellow students to play and learn more, and hopefully come back next year!" 🎶🔥🎶 If you want to support Sarah, and others, to attend camp BGP 27, please make a donation at bluegrasspride.com.

Now that Camp BGP is in the past. let's hear from some of the campers. "To be able to get top notch instruction from really experienced writers like Melody at a price that actually feels do-able felt like it had a huge positive impact on my writing skills. Also helped that Scott and the crew at BGP were also really helpful in running shuttles and getting cheaper hotels to make this camp accessible. ALSO so great to meet everyone and be surrounded by so many kind and talented musicians. Especially grateful for the collaborations I got to do at camp! If you’re ever in the LA area give me a holler!” photo credits

We want to share just how impactful Camp Bluegrass Pride is. So let's hear from the campers directly
"I've never left a camp and not been like "wow that was literally life changing," but this was something so powerful beyond even that. I can't even articulate how much this week has changed my perspective on what it means to be a q***r artist and live unapologetically for it. Everyone absolutely killed it. Thank you so much to everyone who helped/volunteered, Scott + Ashley, Isaac, and DEFINITELY every single instructor.

So amped that I have so much more dope ass roots music to listen to now that's not all by dead cishet white guys 😂😂

See yall next year!!🫡”
