Troop 35 had an amazing time camping and swimming at Guppy Gulch this weekend! ☀️🏕️💦

From setting up camp and spending time together around the campsite to cooling off in the water and making unforgettable memories, it was a weekend full of adventure, laughter, and fun. We love opportunities like this that help build friendships, confidence, and great Scout experiences.

This year's Spring Camporee was held at Curtain Village. The Troop enjoyed learning about the history. Two of the girls had their call out for the OA.

Troop 35 worked on their team building skills. They successfully escaped the Pirate room at Escape Altoona Co.

Who needs a family fun night? Troop 35 will be having a fundraiser night at Get Air State College on February 26th. 20% of the jump time profits will benefit the Troop.

Troop 35 joined Troop 34 for a Cast Iron Cookoff Competition at Camp Golden Pond this weekend.

Competition #1 was a "Chopped" breakfast. The Patrols were given a mystery basket that included dragonfruit, scrapple, cheese, strawberry milk, croissants, eggs, and spinach. They had to incorporate all the ingredients to see who had the best dish. Troop 35 made a dragon fruit smoothie with strawberries and bananas. They also made a croissant breakfast sandwich.
Competition #2 was any dessert made in cast iron. The Ice Dragons made a unicorn cake and took first place.
Competition # 3 was a dinner, and they had to incorporate chicken. We took 4th place for dinner making chicken stroganoff.
Competition #4 was how clean the Scouts got their cast iron cookware. We tied for 2nd place.

The competition was extremely close between the Patrols across all categories. The Ice Dragons came in 2nd place for the final. It was an amazing weekend for fun, practicing skills, and learning other skills.

This weekend the Scouts camped at Black Moshannon State Park for Weblos Weekend and also welcomed a new Scout to the Troop.
