Scholarship opportunity
The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) Education Assistance application is open now through April 17, 2026 for the 2026-27 academic year. Please note that this yearโs application timeline has shifted earlier than in previous years.
The April 17th deadline is fast approaching, so do not delay. NMCRS Education Assistance will accept scholarship and interest-free education loan applications via https://nmcrs.scholarshipapps.org/
From the website, students can verify their eligibility, and qualifying individuals will be directed to create an account where they can apply, upload necessary documents, and track the status of their application.
As in years past, the application is open to the children and spouses of active duty, retired, and deceased (while on active duty or once retired) Sailors and Marines who will be enrolled at least 6 credit hours during the 2026-27 academic year in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, including Career and Technical Education programs. To verify school eligibility, all schools must be listed at College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics. Additionally, service members with written orders to MECEP or MECP, both enlisted-to-officer programs, are eligible for education loans.
