Recruiting players for Belgrade-based competitive travel soccer team
Hello soccer families and players! My name is Anthony Slominski and I am the President of the Belgrade Soccer Club, home of the Belgrade Rage. The Belgrade Soccer Club is the brand-new competitive soccer program serving Belgrade, Three Forks, Manhattan, Churchill, Amsterdam, and the surrounding communities. Right now, we are finalizing a roster for a co-ed U12/U13 competitive travel soccer team that will play games this fall in the Montana Youth Soccer Association fall competitive league. The age range for the team is August 1, 2013 – July 31, 2015. We need a couple more players to fill out the roster. This is a great option for experienced players looking for focused coaching to improve their technical and tactical skills, to play games in a fun and competitive atmosphere, and for any players hoping to continue on and play high school soccer.
Below are some details about the upcoming season:
• Practice begins on Wednesday August 26th
• We will practice 3 evenings per week in Belgrade
• The season will run from September through the end of October
• The team will travel to play on Saturdays and we would play in two tournaments that would run Saturday and Sunday.
• Travel will be mostly reasonable distances (Bozeman, Helena, Livingston, Big Sky), but could include Billings, Missoula, Great Falls.
• Cost will depend a bit on the roster size, but expect around $200-300 per player, which would include all league games, tournaments, and uniforms.
• We are actively fundraising to bring those costs down (for instance I coached a U10 travel team last spring and we got the cost below $100 per family).
• Families would also need to cover their own travel costs.

Thank you to everyone who came out last night and supported our future Rage teams at pint night! (Also thanks to Bar 3 for setting the stage for an awesome community evening!) The best part was watching these kiddos build their confidence beyond just the soccer fields.

🍔 Bar 3 Pint Night Fundraiser

Come learn more about Belgrade Soccer Club, enjoy dinner with the family, and support local youth soccer! We’ll also be hosting a 50/50 raffle to help raise funds for the club.

⚽ Current Team Interest
We’re excited to share that we currently have enough interest to potentially roster:

* U12/13 boys, girls, and/or co-ed

📅 Timeline
Our goal is to finalize team rosters about one week before AYSO registration closes, giving families time to compare options and make the best decision for their player. If more players register than available roster spots, tryouts will be held during the week of July 20.

🌎 Who Can Play?
Players from Belgrade, Three Forks, Manhattan, and homeschool families are all welcome!

🥅 Season Information
The Montana Youth Soccer Association will release the game schedule once teams are finalized.

* Practices begin in late August
* Games run from early September through the end of October
* Expect approximately 6–8 weekends of soccer
* The season will likely include:
* Four Saturday league play weekends (typically two games each Saturday)
* Two tournament weekends, likely in Bozeman and Helena
* Most travel is within about 2 hours of Belgrade.
* There will also be opportunities for additional matches against nearby clubs such as Big Sky and Livingston.

💚 Keeping Soccer Affordable
Families will be responsible for jersey costs, tournament fees, and travel expenses. Our goal is to keep competitive soccer as affordable and accessible as possible through fundraising and local business sponsorships. Scholarships will also be available through Belgrade Soccer Club for families who need financial assistance.
