Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Far Point • Animal Rescue at the Hillbilly Fever days pony rides!

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to rescue, rehab, and re-home horses in need. We wouldn't be able to continue this mission without the support of our community and the kindness of all of our volunteers!

The first night of pony rides at Hillybilly Fever Days was a success! We can't thank everyone enough. If you missed us tonight, that's okay; you can catch us tomorrow from 6:30 - 9:00. 🤠

I have to take a moment to say how PROUD I am of these three girls. They spent their first day of Summer vacation at a horse auction, rescuing horses with me.

We were able to pull TWO horses from the auction pipeline. Prominent rib cages, small scrapes, cuts and lacerations all over their bodies. My heart broke watching them be led through the sale ring in such poor condition. The palomino gelding we pulled is severely underweight. Upon their arrival to Far Point, it was apparent that they hadn't eaten or drank anything for DAYS.

So what now?
They are home & They are safe.
This week, the horses will be evaluated by our vet. She will examine them to make sure they don't have anything internal going on that we physically can't see. Well start the process of worming them and we have already started providing them with adequate nutrition to help them gain weight. A farrier appointment will be set up for the following week to fix their feet that were so badly neglected.

Did you know, that our horses here at Far Point have their very own "in house" (In barn?) massage therapist?

Our CEO, Cabrina, is a jack of all trades. Not only is she busy being a Mother, Wife, CEO and caretaker of the animals at Far Point, she also runs an Equine Integrative therapy business. Providing the equine community with services such as Massage, Photonic Therapy, Cryotherapy and so much more!

Our residents at Far Point sure are lucky!

Due to the tremendous success of this year's Raise the Region event, hosted by First Community Foundation Partnership. They were able to make a generous donation to Far Point • Animal Rescue in the amount of $2,840.43.

THANK YOU, to all the donors who participated in this generous event! Without these funds, we wouldn't be able to continue rescue efforts or provide the means necessary for the animals here at Far Point. ❤️

Faces of Far Point - Part 2

Meet Rumble!
Rumble is my daughter's gelding who is a lifer here at Far Point. Before we took on the rescue I was searching for a horse that my daughter could ride and learn on. I put out a desperate FB ad. The search of finding something safe and in our budget was endless. The sweetest family came across my post and reached out saying that they had a horse I might be interested in!

& The rest is history. ❤️

Rumble has a "larger than life" personality. He's the smallest, but the most authoritative leader of the "Geriatric Gelding Gang." His favorite time of the day is being out in the pasture with his best bud, Odie. Who together, sometimes find themselves in some trouble. 🤫
