Blue's Mews Siamese Cat Rescue Blue's Mews is a small, volunteer-run cat rescue dedicated to assisting cats & kittens at risk. Why adopt from us? When you adopt from us, our care doesn't stop.

Because we are serious about each and every kitten. All of our adoptable kittens have had (at least) their first FVRCP; most have had two FVRCPs and their first FeLV. We ensure our kittens get their complete shot series, even after you adopt them. We follow through with spaying and neutering, and cover microchipping as well! I’m baaaack!!!

Hi, my name is Wilbur and I’m back at Blue’s Mews for a 2nd try at finding my very own FOREVER home.
I was adopted once before and I fell in love with my family, they loved me too. I was a good boy, maybe even a little too good. This family had a daughter with some anxiety and she needed a cuddly kitty to help her feel better. I lived in her room with her and we had many fun and loving days together. But, as children do, she grew up and moved out on her own. She left me behind. The family still loves me but they never wanted a cat in the first place so, here I am again.

A few things about me:
1. I like other cats. I would probably do well with a dog too but I’ve never met one.
2. I play rougher than the normal kitty so please take this into consideration.
3. I can hypnotize most humans with my deep blue eyes.
4: I really don’t want to have to come back and do this again so PLEASE only apply for me if you plan to keep me forever, I’m only a few years old.

Remember Mel? The Xenia community cat who was hit by a car, and needed to have his maggot-infested tail amputated?

Post-surgery, Mel was found to have “tail pull”-type injuries. Sometimes tail injuries cause nerve damage, which can lead to incontinence. Mel was unable to urinate on his own or control his bowels.

Also, due to the Mel’s unusually strong inflammatory response and the very high amputation location due to the tail being broken at the base of the spine, his incision required extra care to heal properly.

Inability to urinate is a legitimate reason to euthanize a cat as this condition is extremely painful and can lead to kidney damage. This would have been the required course of action if we had not been able to get an appropriately skilled medical foster.

Fortunately, Amy Jo Williams was able to provide the appropriate post-surgical care, including expressing his bladder. This allowed him time for the nerves to recover somewhat. We are happy to report he is now able to urinate totally on his own! He is still dropping p**p outside the box sometimes, but that too may improve with time.

Update on our sweet broken leg kitten, named Nur which means light.

But we've made the bittersweet decision to transfer her to Silver Linings of Ohio. She is an absolute love bug and stole my heart as her temporary foster mom but we don't have enough foster homes and Silver Linings of Ohio had an open place for Nur. 🫠 She'll get everything she needs to thrive until she finds her forever home. 🤩
