Our thoughts and prayers are with the Evergreen High School community. With everything going on yesterday the senseless and tragic event that occurred in the school has been overshadowed. These were kids. Neither of the terrible events should be more prioritized than the other but enough is enough. This post is not about politics .
Common human decency needs to be restored on all sides. Today is the anniversary of one of the most tragic events in history. In the days following 9/11 people came together. There was a huge out pouring of love and support regardless of politics, religion, and beliefs. We need to bring back that support. To our community, no matter who you are, what your beliefs are we want you to know we love you.

We are so heartbroken and disturbed to hear about another senseless school shooting. A particular comment that stuck me:

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said Americans should think of the children who were killed "as if they were your own."
"Don't just say this is about thoughts and prayers right now," he told reporters. "These kids were literally praying."

They had just started back to school as we have. Hug your babies a little tighter tonight. We love all our Creek kids and are so glad we have tried to do our best to protect them. 💔

An 8-year-old dead.
Just like the one I sent off to school this morning for her first day.
She walked in happily, holding her best friend’s hand.
I kissed her forehead before she turned away.

A 10-year-old dead.
Just like the one I sent off this morning.
She wanted her hair “preppy” and straightened it for the first day.
She gave me a big kiss on the lips before she left.

How can we not think of our own?
Their faces play in our already anxious minds.

Seventeen more injured. Fourteen of them children.
Two fighting for their lives.
All between the ages of 6 and 14.
They were praying.
Nothing could be more innocent than that.

This was the first week of school for them.
The first day of school for mine.
Fresh starts, sharpened pencils, nerves and hope—
and then THIS.

This is every parent’s worst nightmare.
Every mother feels this pain in her bones.
Every mother is praying tonight.

And the truth we can no longer escape:
Nowhere is safe.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jason Baker, owner of Just Ink Tees. Since the beginning of Creek Safe Jason and his team were strong supporters of our mission. Every Creek Safe tshirt was printed at cost by Jason and his team. He was a wonderful supporter and friend. Our prayers go out to his family and friends. Thank you for your support over the years and for your friendship. We will miss you.

7 years ago today we launched our website and started the Creek Safe Mission. In that time we have donated and installed over $140,000 of barricade door locks. We have purchased and installed stop the bleed bags all over the district. We have educated thousands on school safety. We have helped other parents and districts across the country with the same journey. We are so proud of our little team and the amazing community that has made this all possible. We’re still working to keep our kids safe! We inspected the locks at Beavercreek High School last week and today had a meeting with City of Beavercreek Police Department and Beavercreek City Schools to ask for their new wishlists for new donation drives and projects! We 🧡 our Creek kids!

Another successful Creek Safe Euchre Tournament last night! We think this was the best one yet! Thank you to our amazing naming sponsor UAI Accounting and Tax Services and our delicious food donations from Beavercreek Pizza Dive and The Cakery of Dayton. We raised $3458.96 with your support and were so glad everyone came out to play. Thanks to all involved! We couldn’t have done it without you! Feel free to tag yourself in the pictures!
