PUSH Beaver County Announces Transition of Maple Syrup Festival to Big K**b Grange, Reaffirms Commitment to Educational Mission

Beaver County, PA — PUSH Beaver County is proud to announce the official transition of the beloved Maple Syrup Festival to the Big K**b Grange, ensuring that this cherished local tradition will continue for the community to enjoy.

After learning that the long-running festival would not be held this year, the Big K**b Grange stepped forward to carry the torch. PUSH Beaver County fully supports this transition and applauds the Grange’s leadership, dedication to local heritage, and commitment to bringing families together through agricultural celebration.

“The Maple Syrup Festival has always been about community, tradition, and local pride,” said a representative from PUSH Beaver County. “We are grateful that the Big K**b Grange has embraced the opportunity to keep this event alive for Beaver County residents.”

As part of this transition, PUSH Beaver County will be shifting its primary focus toward expanding its core mission: advancing education and workforce development throughout the region. The organization will continue to invest in programs, partnerships, and initiatives that support learning opportunities, career pathways, and long-term economic growth for Beaver County residents.

“While we are proud of our role in supporting the festival in past years, our strategic priorities now center on strengthening educational initiatives that empower individuals and families,” the statement continued. “We remain committed to serving our community in ways that create lasting impact.”

PUSH Beaver County encourages residents to attend the Big K**b Grange Maple Syrup Festival on April 18th and 19th and show their support for the volunteers and local partners who make this tradition possible.

Boad of Directors

01/30/2026

PUSH Beaver County is an all-volunteer board of 15 members who all have day jobs, many of which have families with small kids, and all who have dedicated themselves to the goal of leaving Beaver County a better place for the next generation.

During PUSH Beaver County 's 20+ years, the board members (current and past) have sacrificed thousands of hours of their own time and personally invested their own funds to ensure the goal and mission of PUSH Beaver County comes to fruition.

We are just as surprised as you to hear that this year's Maple Syrup Event was being cancelled by the event director and completely agree that the timing of it hurts. It hurts us all and the disappointment is very real.

We empathize with each and every one of you who is disappointed from this news as this is not what PUSH typically does, historically. We have a proven track record of helping to make things happen, collaborate with as many groups as possible in accomplishing great, big things, over the two decades we have dedicated ourselves to the Beaver County community. For the perceived departure from those goals, we sincerely apologize.

The bottom line is, the Maple Syrup Festival takes thousands of volunteers to execute each year. As we look to re-imagine this event, PUSH Beaver County needs those who are disappointed the most, to reach out with positive action and get involved in the process to shape and help the event for the future. Please see our previous press release for the information on how to successfully do so.

In short, we understand the disappointment and feel it earnestly with you. Now, we can (and should) put the tremendous energy that we do have towards making the event even better for 2027.

Events like the Maple Syrup Festival do not just happen by accident. They take financial investment, tremendous community collaboration, but most importantly they take incredible amounts of volunteer time to be successful. PUSH Beaver County needs you and your organization's help and feel, under new Festival leadership, we can collaborate on something very special together.

The Maple Syrup Festival benefitted several amazing non-profit organizations who chipped in with their dedicated manpower and resources each year. We need to expand this footprint exponentially in order to move forward into 2027.

PUSH Beaver County will be spending a lot of resources and volunteer time helping to celebrate our country's 250th birthday this year. Better days are ahead!

The PUSH Beaver County board would like to extend a special thanks to all who have reached out over the past few days with words of encouragement. Those who know us personally, understand that we take our love for our community to heart. Delivering disappointing news is not something we are very good at, truth be told. And because of that, we sincerely apologize once again for those shortcomings.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Beaver County, PA — PUSH Beaver County announces that the Annual Maple Syrup Festival traditionally held at Brady’s Run Park will not take place this year.
At PUSH Beaver County’s January board meeting, the director (Regis Collins) of the Maple Syrup Festival formally notified the organization’s Board of Directors at January’s board meeting that, unfortunately, he needed to cancel the event. Following that notification, the Board and leadership team engaged in further discussion and determined that a pause was necessary to responsibly evaluate the future of the festival.
This decision was not made lightly. PUSH Beaver County has chosen to pause the festival in order to study its long-term sustainability and to explore opportunities to reimagine the event for 2027 or beyond.
“As an organization, we are taking a thoughtful look at how we best serve the residents of Beaver County and the region,” said PUSH Beaver County leadership. “This pause allows us to determine whether the Maple Syrup Festival can continue in a way that aligns with our mission and expands its impact.”
During this period, PUSH Beaver County leadership is actively seeking members, volunteers, and partner organizations who may be willing to step forward to help support, plan, and potentially rebuild the Maple Syrup Festival in the future.
Individuals or organizations interested in helping preserve and reimagine this community tradition are encouraged to contact PUSH Beaver County directly at 1-855-787-4221 to leave a voicemail.
At the same time, PUSH Beaver County is focusing its efforts and resources on several major initiatives that are critical to the county’s future, including:
• America 250, preparing to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States and highlighting Beaver County’s role in our nation’s history
• Beaver County BOOM, supporting economic vitality, community pride, and regional growth
• Educational Scholarships, providing opportunities for students across all 15 school districts in Beaver County
“These initiatives reflect our commitment to education, heritage, and community advancement. While the Maple Syrup Festival has been a cherished tradition, this pause provides an opportunity to reassess, innovate, and potentially return with a revitalized experience that complements our broader goals.”
PUSH Beaver County extends its sincere appreciation to volunteers, partners, vendors, and attendees who have supported the Maple Syrup Festival over the years. Updates regarding future plans will be shared as evaluations and discussions continue.
