Y'ALL!!! We did it! πŸŽ‰

Loula Foundation just completed our first-ever Be Well Texas Quality Audit for our Recovery Support Services program with ZERO findings, ZERO concerns, and ZERO compliance issues.

When we received our first state-funded grant, we had never been through a state audit before. We didn't have a roadmap. We didn't have years of experience managing government funding. We just had a team willing to learn, work hard, and stay committed to doing things the right way.

For a small nonprofit that started with a dream and a mission, this feels huge. It reflects the hard work of our staff, volunteers, board members, and community partners who believe in our mission and show up every day for the families we serve.

Every policy written, every participant served, every report submitted, every late night, every training, every team meeting, every board member, volunteer, and staff person played a role in this success.

We are so proud of our team. Not because we passed an audit, but because we built something that can stand up to one.

The Department of Family and Protective Services Region 5 continues to develop creative programs that strengthen families and support meaningful connections between parents and children.

One of those programs provides families with everything they need to bake a birthday cake for their child, helping create special memories during challenging times.

Loula Foundation was excited to pitch in by creating birthday cake baskets filled with cake mix, frosting, wisk, sprinkles, candles, measuring cups, mixing spoons, birthday cards, cake pans, and mixing bowls. Together, we helped ensure that 20 families have the opportunity to celebrate their child's birthday with a little extra joy, love, and connection.

Sometimes strengthening families starts with something as simple as baking a birthday cake together. β€οΈπŸŽ‚

P.S. It was Pajama Day at the office, so don't mind our outfits! πŸ˜‚

If you want to donate birthday love please contact Alicia Wright Jinkerson 4095046390
