Country Honk Farm
In September 2018 I left the Queen City of Buffalo, NY to move south and start a farm for rescue and special needs animals. Originally intending to open my own rescue, I noticed many already established organizations were in critical need of temporary foster care while finding animals forever homes. I quickly changed my game plan and decided to turn my 8.45 acres of land in the Clinch Mountains into a foster farm.
My goal is to aid and assist Eastern Tennessee rescue organizations by providing a safe and loving foster environment for all species of animals, and take on any special needs cases, (I am experienced with Megaesophagus).
While animals are under the care of Country Honk Farm they will be fed, watered, housed safely from predators, exercised, administered medications, and dogs will be trained in basic commands and leash walking.
One little fun-fact about the farm, because I am a die-hard Rolling Stones fan, my entire farm is Stones-themed. Once I am properly up and running (projected for Summer 2019), I hope to open the farm to visitors. You can walk Moonlight Mile Meadow, picnic in Ronnie’s Woods, pay respects at the Shine-a-Light Pet Cemetery, visit with the animals, or volunteer your help. But first things first...I need a place to live! Once I have my house built I can focus on building barns, kennels, chicken coops, rabbit hutches, feed stations, and fencing! In order to ensure everyone’s well-being, and a positive experience at Country Honk, I first need to make sure the animals are safe and secure before taking on fosters and opening up the farm. Your patience is appreciated and any help welcome. I am also in the process of establishing the farm as a 501-c3. As soon as I get approved, I will be able to accept donations from the kind people out there who love animals and love the Rolling Stones!
