Memorial Day has always meant more than just a long weekend to me. It’s a day to remember the brothers and sisters who never made it home. The ones who gave everything for this country and for the people beside them. Their sacrifice is the reason we have the freedoms we enjoy every day, and they deserve to be remembered not only today, but ALWAYS.

One of the reasons I started Outdoor Driven was because I never wanted those who served, struggled, or sacrificed to feel forgotten. This mission has always been bigger than hunting or fishing trips. It’s about brotherhood, healing, purpose, and continuing to show up for one another long after the uniform comes off.

I’m honored to share that Men's Journal recently featured my story and the mission behind Outdoor Driven. I’m grateful for the opportunity to shine a light on the importance of supporting veterans and first responders facing PTSD and the invisible wounds many carry. To all of those we’ve lost.. we REMEMBER and we HONOR you. And to their families, brothers, sisters, and friends who carry that loss every day… we remember alongside you. 🇺🇸

🎣 April Detroit River Walleye Fishing Trips for 16 Heroes!! 🎣

Over the course of April, Outdoor Driven had the honor of sending 16 heroes out on multiple Detroit River walleye fishing trips with Dream Catchers Charters, Fishin' 4 Vets, and Jig-N-Troll Charters, LLC. From first casts to personal bests, full limits, fish fries waiting at home, and nonstop laughs on the river, these trips were packed with camaraderie, storytelling, and memories that remind us exactly why this mission matters!

Despite weather delays trying to slow things down, our incredible captains and volunteers still made it happen. Heroes hit the water on April 10th, 15th, 16th, 18th, and 22nd and were rewarded with great fishing, fellowship, and time surrounded by others who understand service and sacrifice. One trip even produced a personal best 8lb 3oz, 28-inch walleye! Another saw 36 walleye hit the boat in a single afternoon!! 🙌

A HUGE thank you to Dream Catchers Charters, Fishin ’4 Vets, Jig-n-Troll Charters, and captains Connor, Larry, and Jeff Ezop for their time, boats, knowledge, and hearts to our heroes. We also want to give a special thank you to Outdoor Driven ambassadors Terry, Cory and Shawna for stepping up and helping lead these trips out on the water.
