Our volunteers are at the heart of so much of what we do at NAMI Southwest Louisiana.

We recently had the opportunity to come together for a special volunteer appreciation lunch and celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy, compassion, and talents to support our mission and our community.

To each of our volunteers, thank you. Whether you’re helping with a class, support group, community event, outreach effort, or working behind the scenes, what you do matters. We simply couldn’t do this work without you.

And a very special thank you to El Dorado Mexican Bar & Grill for hosting our appreciation lunch and helping us celebrate the people who give so much to NAMI Southwest Louisiana.

We are grateful for our volunteers, our community partners, and everyone who helps us continue bringing education, support, and hope to Southwest Louisiana.

KPLC 7 News The NAMI Family To Family Fall course is now open for registration. Individuals who are currently being affected by a loved one’s mental illness are invited to register for this free program, brought to the community by the certified peer program volunteer leaders of NAMI Southwest Louisiana. It’s an 8-week course that provides a hand book of information about diagnostic criteria, the most effective treatments available, and the proven communication tools to employ for helping others access resources and navigate through the various systems that serve this population.
