We had a wonderful time of fellowship and worship at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, August 23, 2026!

We were blessed to have approximately 35–40 Chapter members join us for church service. Following worship, 13 members continued the fellowship over brunch at Cheesecake Bistro.

It was a beautiful day filled with faith, fellowship, laughter, and connection. Thank you to everyone who came out and shared in this special time together!

❤️ Happy Juneteenth from Midtown LA AARP #5433 ❤️

Today, we honor Juneteenth—a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the enduring contributions of African Americans throughout our nation's history.

As we reflect on the past, we also look toward a future built on understanding, opportunity, and community for all generations.

Together, we celebrate the strength of our shared stories and the progress made through perseverance and unity.

🖤❤️💚 Freedom. Heritage. Progress. 💚❤️🖤

This Memorial Day, Midtown Louisiana AARP Chapter #5433 proudly honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who gave their lives protecting the freedoms we cherish every day.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their legacy continues to inspire generations to come.

From all of us at Midtown Louisiana AARP Chapter #5433, thank you to our veterans, military families, and fallen heroes for your service and sacrifice.
