A member of our community came across someone's story recently — someone who's spent years being the one who shows up for their family. They are now sick and, on top of it, seriously injured. Work isn't possible right now, and the bills haven't paused to wait.

They never asked us for anything. Someone just noticed, and quietly brought it to us.

Every card we leave carries the same quiet message — whether it's tucked somewhere in person, or sent straight to an inbox as a digital card:

"This was left for you, on purpose, by someone who noticed."

That's the whole idea behind Canopy. Someone notices. Someone shows up. No spotlight, no strings.

✨ This week, another request came in — someone asking for a little help with groceries during a hard stretch. We'd love to send them a card, but our fund's running a bit low right now. ✨

It happened. 🥳

Our first organic request came through — someone who found Canopy on their own, asked for a little help, and had a total stranger quietly show up for them. A real connection, made without either of them ever meeting. That's the whole idea.
And as of today, there's $300 in the fund — some has already been put to good use and some is waiting for the next request.

A couple things we want people to know, because we've heard some confusion: you do not have to be a member to ask for help — for yourself or for someone you're worried about. Anyone can make a request. And our members never have to donate anything to belong — membership is about showing up and claiming a request when you're able, not writing a check.

Here's the idea behind Canopy, simply: someone shares a need (privately and anonymously), a community member who wants to help can quietly take care of it, and anyone who believes in what we're doing can support the fund that makes it all possible.
