Meet the Teacher ⭐ This week, we are excited to shine the spotlight on Mrs. Kristie Fields, our Lower School ESS Resource Teacher!
Originally from Natchez, Louisiana, Mrs. Fields has dedicated more than 12 years to the field of education. She earned her associate and bachelor's degrees from Northwestern State University and later completed her master's degree in Elementary Education from St. Thomas University. Mrs. Fields and her husband, Derrick, have been married for 21 years and are proud parents to three children.
As an ESS Resource Teacher, she works closely with students to provide individualized instruction, build confidence, and help them overcome academic challenges through targeted support.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Fields has developed expertise in elementary education, reading intervention, and supporting diverse learners. At Great Hearts Harveston, she has embraced classical education and its focus on helping students become thoughtful, articulate, and virtuous individuals.
For Mrs. Fields, the most rewarding part of teaching is witnessing student growth. She especially loves seeing students overcome challenges they once thought were impossible and discover what they are capable of achieving.
When she's not in the classroom, Mrs. Fields enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, watching movies, and cheering on a great basketball game.
