Our Story

Hi, I am Loretta Smith, Founder of ExoCare: Center for Autism. ExoCare is an organization dedicated to providing services to autistic young men and women ages 18-118. We are a DeSoto County Nonprofit Corporation 501c3 , that provides a plethora of help and hope for distressed Autistic families. I am a mother who has two Autistic children, one of which is severe. I even wrote a book about how his aggression almost destroyed our family and how we overcame. I want to help other families overcome as well without having to go through all we went through.

Our Mission

ExoCare will provide opportunities for persons diagnosed with an intellectual disability and their families which will improve self-esteem, community involvement, self-sufficiency and total self worth in a Christian atmosphere.
