To end off the action packed weekend we headed out to Grunwald Farms Forest Preserve to do a little ice fishing. The bite was a little slow but didn't stop the kids from having a good time! They caught several fish, got to enjoy some doughnuts and learned about some new ice fishing gear from Coda Roy.

Bridge Bust was a blast on Saturday. We had 2 teams from our club participate. Violet and Harper ended up bringing home 1st place in aesthetics in division 2 competing against 6 other teams. Willow and Mr. Mike ended up getting 1st place in aestetics and first place in structural out of 4 teams in division 3 and then pulled the overall grand champion for aestetics out of the 5 divisions. Congratulations to our competitors and we can't wait to see what you do next year!

Tri City Flock stepped up to the plate on Friday night helping package meals that will be distributed in schools, orphanages, clinics and feeding programs around the world to deliver hope and break the cycle of poverty. We had fun working as a team, donating our time and sponsoring to feed a child for a year. We look forward to going back again soon.

Earlier this month we made cookies and Christmas cards for some local Veterans. We also had gift and cookie exchanges along with the annual cookie decorating contest!

Way to go Tri City Flock!!!!!! We received the clean barn award for the Poultry Barn. It's great to see all of your work recognized on the group effort on keeping the barn clean and having poultry information set up at our tables. Great job to all of the other barns as well!

We participated in the Rusty Rodeo today. This event is to help get rid of the invasive crayfish that was introduced to the river by people using them for fishing bait. All the crayfish captured today will be used for turtle food!!

These two came, saw, captured and represented Tri City Flock with an impressive 1,053 grams of rusty crawfish!!!!! Out of well over 100 people they came out with the second largest amount of crayfish at the North Aurora location next to a troop of boyscouts that brought their A game. Excellent job girls, and can't wait to up our game next year.

Tri City Flock kids have put in the work this year and it shows! There will be 4 animals at the Blue Ribbon Sale this Sunday starting at 1pm including 2 grand champions and 2 reserve grand champions. There were also SEVERAL class champions and dozens of blue ribbons awarded. GREAT JOB 4-H-ers!!!
