Helping people be in the right place, with the right people....so they will do the right thing.

Bridge Houses was birthed from the jail ministry we did in Washington County jail every week for 5.5 years. Established in 2016 in Bartlesville, we were granted 501c3 non-profit status Feb 2017. After fund raising and finding a great property to start with, our first client moved in December of 2017. Nancy Love-Wilson manages the property on-site and provides transportation to church, counseling and jobs for the women. In August of 2020, God made a way for us to establish A Fresh Start Resale Boutique. Through the generous donations and support of our community we finally have a way to fund the ministry. We are thankful for God's grace to us and for your prayers and support of Women in Recovery.

Bridge Houses - a Journey to Healing

In August of 2017 we watched God provide as we moved into our first apartment, then over the next year, take the other 3 of the 4-plex from drug dealers next door to Bartlesville High School. Our year at the apartments was a wonderful learning experience full of ups and downs, always seeing God work in the lives of these women in recovery and in us.....teaching us and showing His faithfulness.

In December of 2017, our first woman moved into Bridge Houses. She came to us as a referral from the Lighthouse Shelter and we reconnected her with her children. Many others followed, coming from rehabs and other programs, from domestic violence shelters and jails.

Bridge Houses provides a stable living environment, transportation, and moral support to help women in recovery get started in good jobs and experience what it means to live clean and sober. We connect them with the resources they need to reconnect with their children and families and move forward into a productive life.

In September of 2018 we moved into a beautiful house that backs up to a greenbelt; so peaceful and quiet, bringing us together under one roof instead of separate apartments.
